My opinion is that you are in too much of a hurry. It is a long time from now until Christmas. Who started the stupid idea of putting up Christmas lights in November anyway?

Yes,people coming out of the court house can't see if a car/truck is coming until they step out in the street, and if you are driving around the square you can't see anyonecoming out of the court house until they step out in front of you. Someone is going to get run over and hurt bad or killed!!!!!

I think the trees, lights, and music are great! I doubt that there has been much expense involved in these decorations. A few old cedar trees off of the farm and a few strings of lights do not cost much. Likely, the electricity would be the largest part of the cost. Keep up the great work Grayson County!

I have managed to cross the street there many times since the trees were installed. There is nothing difficult about doing so if you do what your mother told you years ago- LOOK BEFORE you cross. That might involve actually turning your head or stopping briefly before you enter the street. Both good ideas anyway.

I love the square. Most places don't do any type of decorating for the holidays so I think it's nice to see Grayson county taking initiative. I also believe Grayson co. Has some of the nicest roads out of the 4 states I have lived in. This community really is better off than a lot of other towns and cities, I don't understand why people bitch about it.

I really like how the city looks! It has that old-timey Holiday feel.

Some people will continue to complain about any and every thing. I think it's great that our town square is looking a lot like Christmas. If the season was ignored, people would gripe about that. There's just no pleasing some people. Merry Christmas Leitchfield and Grayson County!

agree all they do around here is whine and moan, bunch of free loading gripers!! can't appreciate anything, I always say you could stand and hand out every person in the county a $1000 dollars and they would still find something to gripe and b-tch about!! most ungratefull community i have ever seen in my life!!

I think the square looks nice. You do have to be more cautious when driving around the square and crossing, but it isn't a permanent thing. The music is nice as well. I'm in that area quite often and it is dangerous crossing with or without the trees. Alot of motorists go way to fast around the square.

you people would not know nice if it fell on top of your head... your the type person that would say ( aww that tree looks nice) If you want to see a plain tree just look around.. Christmas is the best time of the year, the birth of Christ, celebration, decorating, DECORATING

If you say the square looks nice please tell me who you are so i may visit your house to view your plain naked christmas tree

There is a lot more to Christmas than some cheap imported plastic stuff hung in trees. The trees themselves are an example of the miracle of creation, and probably look about like all cedar trees in the world did on the day of Christ's birth. Good enough for me.

But if you will tell me where you live, I will arrange for the wood chipper you want after the Christmas season. We can point the discharge chute right in your front door. That will give you something to do besides stir trouble on this forum.

Actually, I have 5 very decorated Christmas trees, a front yard full of lights, as well as Santa on my roof and a nativity scene on my front porch. I still happen to think the square looks nice. How can you judge people who think the square looks nice in one breath and then in the very next, you say Christmas is about celebrating the birth of Christ? I honestly don't think Christ cares how the square looks, I think it would be more pleasing to know there are still some towns in America who recognize CHRISTMAS, not just "holidays."

That the town takes the time money and effort to try and bring a little christmas spirit into the county should make people grateful enough!! but some gripers and complainers cannot be made happy by anything that is done regardless. if you don't like it don't look at it would be my suggestion.

Because some people are clearly miserable. Thank you Grayson County for caring about the holidays. Do any of you know the real meaning of Christmas or are you too blinded by your own egotistical views? I knew some miserable individual out there would start stuff over this. I hate sharing a town with you people. Props to the ones who stood up and said nice things. That stuff didn't hardly cost a thing. Ever think the county may be trying to save a little money by halting off of costly road projects for a bit, but still allowing it's workers to get hours in for their families? The county always backs off a bit before the end of the fiscal year. I'm proud of this small town, it's pine trees, and those beautiful strings of lights that symbolizes someone cares enough to decorate for Christmas and that makes me smile each time I see it. PLEASE DO US ALL A FAVOR AND MOVE!!!!!!!! I'm tried of hearing your CRAP.
