Once again could someone post legitimate information on the candidates as in what they represent...not who their mother is, or how many people they slept with. I could make a more educated decision, because at this point I wouldnt vote for any city office unless I know the candidates.

It would be hard to do that on the city council race because there are so many of them. I think the paper does a column on each candidate sometime in the fall.

The Gazette is filled with typos, sickly sweet stories, mugshots, and editorials that tell you that if you get a divorce, then God will murder your son.

Has either one of them said where they will vote to change the name of a road to leo mudd.To me that is a slap in the face.I have a brother killed in the service plus a uncle and cousin they should change a road to each service member who died while protecting the USA

Are you kidding? These people never take a stand on anything. Unless it affects one of them personally, they will not state a public position on anything. If they never tell you what they are for, then no one can put them in a corner. As an example, where do each one of them stand on the most controversial issue to face Leitchfield in the last 50 years - the moist vote? It is easier to get re-elected by not taking a position but it provides no leadership. It's a shame they can't be as progressive as Clarkson's city council.

I am Holly Hazelrigg and I am running for city council. I have lived in Leitchfield half my life. I graduated from grayson co high in 1990. I have two kids, and twin granddaughters. I am curently going to school.(undecided major) After 21 years of living here I am sure i'm still considered a "transplant" (not home grown). I hope that doesnt offend anybody. I feel that if Leitchfield doesnt change the city will die. I can't promise that anything will change with me on the council. But I will tell you this and people that know me know this is true. I have a BIG MOUTH and if I dont think something is right I say so. It doesn't mater if it just your average joe or our mayor. If I belive in something I will say so. I am for our county going moist. The revenue that that would generate would help our town tremendously. I know that some dont agree and I am ok with that. Everyone has their own opinion. I'm not saying I'm right but I will tell you where i stand. Some will like it some won't. You cant please everyone all the time.

Umm...Kevin built the EMS to what it is today. He has a great staff there that gets things done. Shame on him for owning his own electric business and renting apartments. I guess he should sit at home like YOU!! Kevin has worked hard for what he has built. No one is perfect, but you are just f*cking jealous as$hole.

I would prob pick top 4 on the list if I could vote on them, not saying anything bad about the rest. I know all of them and they do a good job now(top 4). I think If one more like them were in you would see a better side of l-field

Jerry and Billy are only interested in helping the fire department which is a conflict of interest since they are both on the fire department. While I appreciate the need for a good fire department, this city has other needs equally important. City councilmen should represent the whole of the community and not one select group.
