Gangs in Lakewood

Recently the NJ State Police has started patrolling the Lakewood area due to increased gang activity. Does anyone have any info on what gangs are active here in Lakewood, and how well connected these gangs are to Trenton, Newark etc...?

To get help in lakewood nj you must first help the black and hispanic comunity place to start the churches because they can reach the youth! however all the funds coming in the comunity are going to the jewish comunity. You can steal and misapropreate funds as this comunity does but the justice and raft of God will come and no man can hide!

I think I've seen them...they all wear these drab black suits and long skirts, with pointy black hats and funny hair popping out of the sides of their heads...but I don't remember them harming anyone, unless you pay full overblown prices at the dirty display counters of their camera stores.

The Jews have the homes because they WORKED and EARNED the money to buy them. They didn't TAKE them from the Blacks, NOR did they TAKE the Black people's money. If you would CARE about yourself you would get a JOB and EARN the MONEY to BUY a HOUSE! Slavery ended years ago, everyone is guaranteed a public education. Stop looking for handouts and start looking for a job so that you, too, can be successful...and stop your whining right now!

I'm a former Lakewood resident who grew up in the Lakewood community. Out of curiosity I decided to check out how the old town was doing. Come to find out there are gangs, and wars between the black, Hispanic and orthodox communities.

Please allow me to give my synopsis on these issues as I have seen them first hand.

First off I think it's important that I mention that I am Hispanic, and I have a degree in law and justice administration. I have also served in the United States Army for more than 9 years. I mention that not as a way to say "I'm better than you", because that is not true at all. I too am a product of the community of Lakewood. Furthermore, I am contemplating on returning and running for government office.

I have witnessed while growing up in Lakewood, the tension not only by the Hispanic and black communities, but also with the orthodox Jewish communities. I personally have been involved with all three groups.

It seems to me that there is a great concern over the vast wealth that is prominently displayed by the orthodox community, I too took notice of how easily they could erect entire communities in a matter of months; whereas blacks and Hispanics could not even afford the lowest level apartments. Why is that?
Well being a Hispanic myself, I have noticed that the orthodox community has reached their levels of success for a few key reasons.
First, they share a common ideology that binds them to their community. This is obviously based on their religious values. They all know one another and police up their own.
African Americans and Hispanics, as much as we would like to think we stick together it is very far from the truth. We crave success and a means to get out of the situations we're in, but only at the cost of the next mans suffering. We would sooner kill than stick together.
Second, The orthodox community seems to look out for their own when it comes to employment. Jewish business not only hire their own, they cater to their own. Yet, we as outsiders pay for their services. How many of us have paid Jessie Roth to sell our homes? or Jack the accountant over at taxpros? Guess what, you not only placed money into their pockets. You have also strengthened their communities.
Lastly, Orthodox Jews are generally not viewed as a threat. What i mean by this is that a Jewish man walking down the street at night would be far less likely to be out there committing violent acts as opposed to Hispanics and blacks.(yes it is discriminatory)Although, I have personally witnessed acts that go against the Torah and other religious ideologies of the Jewish people. For example bribery, Insurance fraud, extortion, forgery, coercion, embezzlement and other crimes that would not ordinarily be viewed as blatantly out in the open.

Furthermore, the orthodox communities seem to have more prominent figures in their communities such as lawyers, doctors, and politicians. These key positions allow the orthodox community to limit their services exclusively to their own members.

With their own schools, hospitals, church's, and a multitude of businesses it seems that unless we can reach the level of cohesion that the orthodox community has, there will never be a prosperous ending for blacks and Hispanics.
We may gripe and moan about it but the fact if the matter is that by their current standing, there is a definite, albeit unfair or unequal, advantage to their success.

The "unfair" and "unequal" advantage to their success is what they have worked hard to achieve. That's like saying the USA has an unfair and unequal advantage over other countries. Why? Because a great many people here worked hard to achieve it; remember the USA began with NOTHING, also. That's one of the big problems why SOME minorities here don't make it, while OTHERS DO! It still boils down to the same fact. The Jews know how to do things to be successful...it takes EFFORT and unity, while NOT being VIOLENT. The Blacks, in particular need to learn that. Those who do, achieve success. Hispanics have not been here as long, but certainly seem to be headed toward more success in the future because, as a group, they seem to be more interested in making an effort through education and hard-work. In the end, a public education with HARD WORK, EFFORT, and NON-VIOLENT behavior will reap real success, but that has to be the desire and goal, and it isn't achieved overnight.

They help eachother, while you take from eachother. They would never let their people live in the street but in your community they do. Stand straight and fly right. stick together and get jobs. nobody hand anyone a house or food. we go work for it. baby steps.
