Hey Bob, I have to pay taxes to babysit your stupid kids at school all day and I don't even have any kids. At least now, my dogs can benefit from some of the tax money I'm paying.

Dorothy Dear, thanks for paying my past teaching salary and also my present teacher retirement. If you would cease from playing around with those dogs, maybe you would have kids. SOME kids eventually grow out of diapers, then revert back to them in old age, I know! Dogs crap all over the place for life. Don't forget to clean the park.

Are these off-leash areas fenced in?
Or do I need to carry mace when I visit the park?
Some of those bigger breeds scare me.

No problem Dogless. When I see them coming, I just bend over and grab my ankles. Never been hurt.

I think it's unfortunate that you are apparently "crapping" over others on this message board. Scary to think you helped to shape the minds of youth at one point. I have no children by choice and what a great choice it is (not just because I'm too busy playing with my animals). Some people are unable to have children and they are childfree by circumstances. There is research that pets have a positive impact to the lives of their owners. I enjoy being an adult educator, we promote an open mind and appreciation of "diversity". Perhaps you should be a bit more kind to others.

And you are telling me to be a bit more kind to others, when you, as an adult educator, speak of 'babysitting stupid kid' at school all day. Wow! You certainly are a different breed of teacher than I was accustomed to working with for over 30 years. Happy that I no longer have children that could have had you as a teacher. Be kind!

How about this, I'll pay for the dog park, because I have a dog. I however will not pay any school taxes because I don't have kids. Sounds fair to me.

WOW! You people are vicious. I'm a new dog owner myself and I love the fact that there is a dog park near by. My 6 month old lab is too big to play with the neighborhood dogs and is dying to have a "social life". I respect the non-dog owners' opinions as far as keeping the park clean and free of dog crap, however some comments posted are not necessary. As far as the tax dollars comments go, our government has been using our tax money for stupid crap for years, GET OVER IT! I think a dog park is a very good idea, not only for the dogs and their owners but for non-dog owners as well. A well balanced and socialized dog is happier and SAFER for all!

Well balanced and socialized dogs, as the City of York rots. And you'll certainly drive your SUV to the dog park. Some country. Bet the people in Darfur appreciate your dog being too big to play with the neighbors dogs. Sorry about his social life deteriorating. ONLY IN THE USA!

People really wonder why this country has soooooo many problems..... the reason is the closed minded, angry at the world, miserable idiots like the jerk from Dover! Get over it! The dog park is a great idea....thank god I dont have to worry about teachers like you in the school system any longer!

You have been retired too long….lol…..Obviously a democrat so far left you see right! I am a dog owner and a father and live in Dallastown (some of the highest taxes). I am guessing you have never lived outside of York your whole life. York is a WONDERFUL place to live (ROTTING!!!???). I love it here. This will really tick you off Bob. I am a transplant from Maryland. Now let’s hear you complain about that! You are sure to be one of the Pennsylvanians that HATE the idea of Marylanders moving over the line for a better quality of life and still working in Maryland, coming home to York and spending our MARYLAND earned dollars in the York County. But hey….I am just assuming….right….lol
Can’t wait to take my dog there…we have a Great Dane….bigger bread but a gentle giant.

Bigger 'bread'. People in the USA are already fat enough. We don't need 'bigger' bread. I promise to reform. No longer will I make snide remarks about the Doggie Park. No, I am a Republican. My hobby is pi$$ing off people on these posts. Doin' a pretty good ain't I? I actually love Marylanders, they help jack up our taxes but also help pay for our excellent southern York County schools. So, no more, I have seen the light and promise to reform, well, maybe not. I am a bigger bread but a gentle giant. lol......

Everyone benefits when responsible dog owners have balanced dogs! If you don't like the dog park, don't go! There should be more dog parks around here!

Woof!
Three areas are fenced: one for little dogs, one for big dogs, and one for Bobbo and the Llamas, a new York County singing group.
As Bobbo is the biggest breed there, I'd be scared too!
