The FMPD were called earlier that day before this situation even happened, and they didn't do anything, they acted dumb on the phone and online.

An FMPD operator by the name of Anna was called 4 times, she kept placing the caller on hold even though he was pleading that its an emergency.

The guy calls 911 but he doesn't live in Fort Myers, so what did they do? Well, they wanted to send an officer to his home even though that wasn't going to solve anything. They wanted to send an officer to his home not to the location of where one of the people in this situation could've been apprehended. They said it was nothing they could do, and they didn't want to transfer him to a Fort Myers 911 operator.

So the guy spoke with a Lieutenant William Musante and a Sergeant Michelle Rand from FMPD as well, who brushed him off and said call 911 as well.

He called FMPD back again pushing operator Anna to confirm that she sent a cop to the location, and all she said (casually) is that she put the call in. She kept answering 911 calls in the process, so she could've sent someone over there on that note as an emergency call but she didn't care. So these individuals had over 8 hours to stop what occurred because they were getting calls just before 1pm.

What truly happened with this story is that the woman and her boyfriend had a key to the mans home. She went in there even though they were no longer dating and left a note that she came by but he was asleep. She kept the key and her and her boyfriend were literally taking items from the man's home.

He later confronted them, and with his right to bear arms, he carried a weapon for his protection. Unfortunately the woman knew this, and when he confronted the couple, she went for his weapon resulting in her being shot accidentally. It may sound fishy, but you can confirm that information with her boyfriend who was also present, and told detectives what happened during the situation resulting in her being killed. One of the detectives later made phone calls to others that were contacted that day via to get information and discuss details, that was one of them. The accidental shooter went into a panic and had the man to call others to tell them what happened and feared going to prison.

Some may think that he wanted to kill both of them because he was supposedly jealous of her relationship, but he had a girlfriend and at the end of the day her boyfriend is still alive because of the simple fact that was not the man's intention. The police were an option for him to call about the woman going into his home on a number of occasions to take things he worked hard to obtain, but he didn't think about that and its a shame that he did not.

The phone calls that he made to the man whom reached out to the police involved him being tired of people taking things he has worked hard for and that people have done that over the course of his life. She could've given him the key in his hand, she could've mailed him the key, left it under a doormat, etc. It's sad that the Army Veteran and Father didn't take a step back and utilize the law since they are paid to handle criminal activity such as theft, and its a shame that this Mother just didn't resist the urge to steal.

What's even more sad, is that the cops had a chance to prevent this but now children of the two, family of the two, friends, etc. mourn their loss. Both made bad decisions, and its horrible that it came to this. If you are connected to either of these individuals and love them anyway, push forward in your life and rise above their faults by learning from their mistakes and not your own, appreciate the good things about them and strive to be the best person in your life.
