Up North, you're a bit confused. You have to be 21 years of age before you can even be accepted into an LEO acedemy in the state of Florida. Word of advice, stop typing, you're removing all doubt.

Do you see what a quick google search gets you idiot? It saves you from embarassing yourself by bringing to light your your dim-witted intelligence and ignorance. I'm not a cop. I take it that you're a cashier at a 7/11 though. You must be so proud.

My husband was an inmate at hendry until he was put in the box under investigation for 3 months for no reason. They said they had reason to believe he was going to help someone break out. reason to believe?! maybe if there was actual evidence but they had him locked up under false statements. we were supposed to get married and the kernal turned it down so many times because he didnt like him. I am very happy he got transferred from there. although i have to drive 7 hours to see him. he never got any Drs. The kernal just didnt like him. Those guards there are crooked. The inmates there are there because they screwed up but that doesnt give the guards the right to beat up on them and treat them the way they do.

I hear all these prison stories and was wondering what I would have to do get someone to look into the Lake city jail about inhumane treatment there. I was in there on false imprisonment the charges where dropped but I was arrested because an officer said that I knew info about a case so I was thrown in jail and held there because they assumed I was going to tell them something and by holding me there I would fold. Well why I was there I had to take cold showers becuse gaurds where to lazy to turn the hot water heater on because it had to be reset in the morning, all our meals where cold by the time we got them, I was shackled so tight it cutt both my heels and when I asked to go to the nurse they would not allow me so it would not be reported so I wrote tallahassee why I was in there about my treatment however the letter never made it instead they gave it to the head sherriff in columbia county. When I went to court I had bruises all on my arms the next day From how tightly handcuffs where put on. My bunkie was forced to sleep in bloody cloths because she is an older women and her period is heavy. They gave her 5 pads to last and she bled through when she asked for more they said no so it got in her cloths and on her blankets they would not give her clean cloths of blankets they told her to go hand wash them!so I gave her one of my sheets. I have a million more things I could go on and on but if anyone knows how I would get someone to investigate this jail please let me know thank you

Everyone in prison is not there for hurting someone. Yes a crime was committed so they must receive their punishment. That is one thing but when you have people who only have power in their uniforms and believe that the inmates are all animals and the scum of the earth then what are you saying its o.k for the ones in authority to function in a way that would be considered criminal for anyone else. I bet you the ones that are being terrorized by "officers" are not the bare faced murderers or the ones that terrorized people during their crimes. I will continue to bitch & complain about how my son is treated if it is inappropriate. Why do you have these guards on with their power trips and feel they can speak to the visitors anyway? What is that? So I must feel compelled to accept this treatment because I want to see my child. I wont be intimidated because no matter what society says he still has someone out here and he isn't there for abusing or killing ANYONE. Remember there is good & bad in all of us. A lie is a lie big or small, there is no such thing as a small/white lie, oh maybe if it was considered a black lie that would be a big one!! The entire justice system is a joke someone can kill someone and be in and out of prison in 5 yrs if that but a life is gone not coming back. Someone breaks into a house which is unoccupied, nobody hurt, no damage and they get 10 yrs in prison. I guess that makes sense....who is it here making it seem that a human life has very little worth? The difference between a multitude of people and the inmates are the multitude have not been caught or they would be in prison also. Remember SIN is SIN.....no man is greater than a next as long as he has a soul. No soul...not a child of God.

I'm a former inmate of graceville work camp and I can say this. There are people that do deserve to be in prison and there's a lot of people that are in prison for very petty things where there was no victim involved and there also is goodbprison guards out there but there's also a lot of prison guards on power trips that abuse inmates and break the law everyday and that makes them no diifrent then the inmates. In was in there for prescription fraud due to my addiction to pain killers and I seen first hand the nasty ways the cos act.I know for sure that if they where to see you out on the streets they would never say or do the things they do because there cowards and they don't have you cuffed up in a cell. It's probably the only job they can get with there iq
