dude get over it, at least she's doing something instead of letting it pass by and giving up. It's one less influence and the more she can get rid of the better. And I'm glad to say she's my get over it and you can start complaining once you actually do something for the better of mankind.

It's like watching the movie Footloose. Only I'm living in it.

I can't believe how closed minded some people here really are. There's a whole wide world out there whether you like it or not. Explore it and get out of the valley and maybe you will find yourself.

Vacations out of state must be like a journey through hell for some native Utahns. Ooops can I say hell or will people need to cover their screens?

I just want to start out by saying it is great living here in utah. I hate when people use the phrase "closed minded" when some one stands up to evil. There needs to be alot more people standing up for what is right. Also if you don't like it here by all means please move.

I used to work at the local Kmart, and my manager wouldn't put up a new issue of Jane magazine because of a "racy cover" I told him that it was stupid because A. We sell adult magazines, so whats wrong with selling a beauty magazine with a "racy cover" and B. people and children are going to see worse on the streets and people in the store. Its just stupid, you cant cover your childrens eyes everytime a girl in a mini skirt and bikni top walks by. Its just dumb. Just dont look at it, dont buy it, but normal people dont mind.

Racy? Evil? Closed-minded? I also enjoy living here in Utah, it's a great state. However, for many Utahn's who have NEVER left the Linus-type blanket security of this particular valley, the real world IS this valley. I agree that people should be able to voice their own concerns, but as the cliche goes "you freedom ends where my nose begins".
I would like to know if, Kate, your mom also prohibits the playing of video games or watching prime time television. Does she monitor what you (and your siblings if you have any) do at friends houses.
Having friends that have never left this state, and friends that have lived both here and elsewhere, I can honestly say they are different breeds of people. You can still be in the world without being "of" the world.
