Looking for some fun to be had for me and the hubs. We have a date night coming up, and I have no clue what we could do, other than the old standby (dinner and a movie). I really want us to have a good time, I was even considering one of the gentleman's clubs, but I've heard nothing good about any of them. Any suggestions?? I don't want to go any futher than deridder because of our kids being at the sitter's. ANyhoo... thanks in advance!!

Go to Lake Charles the area has more and you'll see most if not all the Church goers down there, maybe even some abult parties.

The Casinos have good food and giving your money away sometimes is fun, also the rooms there are nice.

I agree, the casino would be a good night out. Otherwise all there is to do is the boring ole dinner and a movie

The showboat theater at Fort Polk is having a showing this weekend. I have been to that a couple of times and have enjoyed it. Still follows the dinner and show theme, but at least it is a live production.

If you are into more nature oriented things you can check out this flyer,(or maybe even bring the kids to this): http://www.cajunprairie.org/events/20120330_B...

I agree with the above two postings but if you must stay around here it kinda depends om what you are looking for. Paradise plays good music but mostly younger crowd, wildride and sugar shack older crowd a little more laid back but wildride is more a mix of music sugar shack same way but centers more on country and Las Margaritas is pretty wild at times. It's not really that the night clubs here are bad or any more boring or better then anywhere else we just don't have as many to choose from so if you go out all the time it can get boring. But I only go out a few times a year and depending on who we are with I have had fun at all listed above and some of the really small places too.

When I am in the area I like the Spot and the Sugar shack...if you just want to go to a gentlemans club I would go to the peguas...It is alot nicer then New Orleans ladys.

Don't go to a gentleman's club, that's not fair unless you are looking for a threesome, lol...just kidding.

Have a dinner picnic and watch the sunset at Vernon Lake.

Bowling.

Get a hotel and act like honeymooners. Some motels do hourly rates, ha.

After this last weekend I'd stay away from wild rides for A while I heard it got really bad.

I also heard that the movie theatre is making a lot of improvements.

She made it clear she did not want to go past DeRidder, 21 miles. And you suggest she go to Lake Charles, 71 miles. You dumb for real.
