Food stamps for the needy should lessened for the obese. A percentage of cuts to federal benefits should based on the amount of weight overage. The same principle should to disability payments to the obese. If you are too fat to work - you are too fat to eat. It's time to trim the fat in government.

And lower tax rates should be only for those who really really need them. Rates for the super-rich should be increased, based on the amount of income you have over $250,000 a year. If you're too rich to have to work - you are too rich to get tax breaks.

Its ok , if the haters are fat welfare bums - I can outrun those types. Drug testing should be mandatory. Same principle should apply to any luxury such cable/ satellite TV, smartphones, alcohol and cigarettes. If you can afford such luxuries - you can buy beans and rice instead.

And all under weigh people should receive 2 times as many food stamps.

Food stamps should be like WIC. You can only buy approved items on a list. No potato chips and coke actual food. Nothing makes me madder than standing behind some one at the counter with a basket full of junk paying with food stamps. I agree 100% with drug testing with all receipents on any kind of hand out.

Makes perfect sense to me. If the logic is that fat people should receive less because they don't "need" them, then skinny people should get more because they obviously DO need them!

The welfare system is ate up with waste and fraud - it is not about skin-color but an ineffective governing process. Our so-called leaders are to blame. They are bought and sold prior to arrival -slaves to the process of greed and influence. The least amongst us should rule - that what the Good Book says.

Don't force me to eat steaks because thats your favorite. I happen to like potato chips and honey bums/You mean I shouldn't be allowed to buy what I eat? By the way, I think the lights the mayor paid for looks rather good. We all moaned at first, but now I do like the appearance. Ok Mr. Dictator Rose, I did not agree with your decision to spend the additional money on those lights, but they do look good.

And make it retroactive. They will owe me millions of dollars. I have never received a time worth, inspite of having a little use for some every now and then. They won't give me none, talking about me working. They want you to be lazy and doing nothing to get them. And then not give you enough. I will starve to death before I ask the government for food stamps.
Don't give me none, let me starve.

Maybe its time we examine the root causes which inspire a need for a welfare system as we know it. What breeds this type of system. Its not gonna be a lot of countries to compare with, so we have to do the best we can. Lets say, Kuwati. I think in that country the king got everything so he take care of all the citizens. All the money stay in the country. Saudi King, take care of the citizens. Money stay in the country. ABBA DABBA, everyone gets some of the pie. Look at the Indians in Kinder, everyone benefits. Now come to these ol greedy men in America, take all the money and hide it in Swiss bank accounts and the Cayman Island. The people got to have stamps, the other currency is in offshore accounts.

If you have a drug felony conviction in the state of Louisiana you can't get food stamps. Hey, you can be a murderer, child molester, rapist etc but you better not have a drug felony. Makes real sense doesn't it.

Ok, so let us decide who shouldn't get food stamps.
People who are overweight.
People who smoke.
People who hunt (if you can afford to hunt then you can kill your own food).
Men who wear their pants around their ankles.
Pet owners.
People who own a big flat screen tv.
People with smart phones.

Continued later.

They must have exemptions. Or they give special treatment to some.

they give special treatment to some. i know of a elderly couple he is 70 has conjested heart failure worked all his life was a vietnam vet. now they are having hard times due to dr bills Gov says they make 6 dollars to much for food stamps. he can't get medicade for hospital stays. it's just sad people who really need it they turn away but a young mother with 2 kids can get all the food stamps she wants plus what ever else they have just so she doesn't have to go out and find a job. i had one girl say as long as she keeps having kids she will get food stamps and welfare checks for her kids. she lays home watches a big screen tv and has a good time on other people hard earn money . they should have a time limit on food stamps 5 years is enough once you reach 5 years and still on them they take you off maybe some of these dead beats that's on welfare will go out and get a job then . but as long as the gov feeds them and gives them money nothing is going to change and the elderly who need it gets pushed in a coroner and forgotten

well..it all sounds like a plan....but im thinking yall are leaving out one important detail....maybe alot of these "dead beats" would love to get off welfare but dont know how...its the only way of life they know...yes, lamar salter is down the road, pell grants, child care, advanced education.....but how are they supposed to get there? years ago there was van that used to pick up and take to lamar, but not anymore....why? why cant the city try and help some of the "dead beats" get off welfare? these kids need to know that there are options for them.....

Your missing the point they don't want to do anything it's in their DNA now .

Katrina should have been a big wake up call for all who work and pay taxes, and that is when you look at all the hood rats that started pouring out of the 9th ward and calliope projects and the magnolia projects, all they could say is who is going to save us, kind of like the poor in NY and up and down the northeast sea board.

It's very simple if you need food stamps you get a drug test, get what you need for 6 months then after that your on your own.

If you need them due to your being old and health issues you get the assistants until you pass away, if you do not fall under that then 6 months your done .
