havemercy can't run since he was a conveicted felon, whom by the way had the help of Jim Shapkoff and Buddy Leach getting out of prison. Rkeeton might would make a good mayor as it seems he has a geniune care for the people but he would not run against his buddy Rose ( who I think will be a one termer), so who will step up to the plate? Someone from District 2, Joe Mckee, or someone else?? Doesn't seem like many choices are out there.
You are part right and part wrong. Let me give you the true facts. Jim Shapkoff and Claude Leach ain't help me do nothing. If they did I don't know nothing about it , but thank the Lord for their assistance. When they face Saint Nick they can reference their assistance in having done at least one good deed.
Now, let me address another one of you statements, Not was a conveicted felon, rather is a convicted felon. My experience was somewhat rewarding, had the pleasure of reading the Bible several times, 20 years of studying the law. Got more hours of reading law books than many of our practicing attorneys.
And I am not beholden to anyone. Totally independent. I am not ashame of my past, I messed up and I paid the price. Argue with that. I paid the debt and continue to do so. 35 years later. What I am most concerned about is the fact that many many of our young people are traveling down the same road I travelled. Push
them to the streets and fill the jails up. Create jobs and revenues. I can't hold office, but I am not going to repudiate my responsibility to demand accountability. And all the politicians know me. They know I will speak my mind and are not capable of being intimidated. I don't want to be mayor, I want our mayor to have our best interest at heart. And if he/she do something contrary to my best interest, I am going to speak out. It can be a ringatang as far as I am concerned.

The early 60s is nearly 50 years ago. Jim Shapkoff is only 68 years old. He started his ice company when he was 18? BS! The only ice plant in town was the one CLECO owned and ran. It was located on First Street where the water tank is now. It ran through the 1960s, managed by Mr. Richard Howard. Be careful throwing that "idiot" stuff around unless you're absolutely sure of yourself.

I said he builded icehouse all over the country after assuming office. I didn't mention the 3 moving companies. Reread and get it straight. Any statement I make that is not correct have a 100 dollar reward. Thats how sure I am. I knew Jim when he had that place were his crawfish stand is now. So I don't need no history teacher. One that don't know all the history at that. You dont have a reason to be mad at me. Unless you are related to Jim.

You don't owe me no apology. I apologize for not being able to express myself in writing more clearly. We want the same thing. Good honest government.

You must have a awfully big book. LOL Because I am a awfully big idiot. You can not go to heaven with that kind of attitude. The bible teaches meekness, longsuffering, compassion. Don't see any of that coming from you. You mad at me because all the mess is going on and you can't blame me. I ain't the one. Nobody would listen to me. I wouldn't buy ya'll no pig feets.

Another thang I would do as mayor. I would fund the Leesville Neighborhood center. A community center without a budget. Come on now, its 2011. Yet we can claim to have a Summer Reading Program.
Why the school needs money to educate children and we don't at the Neighborhood Center. Da Martin Luther King center. Just recently the school board voted to raise the price of lunch, 25 cents or something. You know what we do at the Neighborhood center, we give em a purple or blue dollar store juice and a animal cookie. We are willing to lend our tutors to show you how to educate K-6, without one red penny. Thats the Neighborhood center, now lets turn our attention to the Dunbar Library. Much to be desired. This type of treatment is what pains me. We have totally negelected our responsibility. I am not pointing fingers but I am not willing to concede my right to call them just as they are, not how I see them. They purposely appoint peoples to these ol' boards and commissions who don't know s#####. Planning and Zoning commission comes to mind. Out of all the people in Leesville, Rose appointed Parthenia Shade. LOL What could he have been thinking about. Planning and Zoning. HA HA HA Oh, forgot, she is a big wheel at Pleasant Hill chruch. Another political appointment. The future of the city was nowhere in sight when that appointment was made. My mind is on Liquor permits for my breakfast in bed. I can't serve. We need a miracle. Help us Lord!

When we dont like the message, we kill the messenger. I have thick skin. Wanna see you in heaven. Repent and be converted. English translation, " a change has to come," give up those ol backwood thoughts because the times of refreshing comes from the presence of the Lord. My constant and daily prayer is, Lord you raised up Lazarus from the dead, please do something with this group in Leesville, Louisiana. We in a mess.
You can sugar coat it if you want to, it will just be sugarcoated mess.

The law is clear, no alcoholic beverages within 300 feet of a church or daycare center. I think the Methodist church distance is within the distance. That may be the reason Rose quit that church.

Everyone who votes for me to become mayor gets 1-1/2 acre of land and a 3 month old mule, and 15 cent worth of Mustard seeds.

An on-premise liquor license is for a specific address. All liquor sold must be consumed at that location. Period. In order to sell liquor to be consumed elsewhere, you need an off-premise liquor license, such as a package store or supermarket would have. I don't think an off-premise license allows for liquor by-the-drink. I think it means unopened containers.

You are correct. And the First Christian Church is within 300 feet of the location where he is selling.

I think the reason he quit the Methodist church and joined the Baptist church is quite simple: there are a lot more voting Baptists than there are Methodists.

I thought about that, just afraid to say it.
He gave up his religion to become mayor? He compromised his Methodist upbringing for a vote? Ah may be he just wanted to become Baptist, you know we are the only ones that do anything. We allow shaded characters to be Preachers and everything. So Rose had to become a Baptist. Corruption keeps Methodist, Pentecostal, and latter day saints out of heaven. There is a exemption for us Baptist.

What you and I don't understand is that those 2 buildings are the same address. LOL We should look to see how the occupational licences was issued to those separate buildings.
