But yet steal nearly 100k from the people of this city, and wonder why their streets aren't being paved!

So funny!

Lets see, with that near 100k of insurance y'all stole from the city, I am sure we could have paved more than a few streets!

I have traveled all over ~ and I have been on smoother dirt roads. The roads here suck but it does appear improvements are in the works.

It's funny you say that. Just think about the extra money that could have gone into fixing the water system and roads among the communities had it not been stolen by the city council people we elected to uphold and represent the rights and needs of the people. I mean 100k is not gonna fix it all, but it sure would have helped tremendously.

I mean, after all, we are a city in need of help. We need a lot of things fixed, yet two city councilmen are stealing money right out of the pockets of this city!

Well you do have a point with that.

Every member on that council is a thief. They take money every month that none of those worthless pieces earn. What would be a standup thing would be for all of them to give one months pay to the city to help out a little bit. Oh i am aure that is not even an option to these slugs.
Speaking of wasting money. How about rose wasting all the money he is will his hidden agendas? Hickman needed to go for sure but boy is that gonna end up costing a boatload of money that coulda been used to fix some stuff broken around this town.

So we are guilty before trial now....Because R. Rose says they are guilty that's it done deal case closed?....Didn't know out judicial system had been changed?....How is it they stole anything when ins. Claims have to be approved by the City with a city official writing the checks?...guess I'm a little confused how all that works?.....maybe since your 100% positive they stole it, you can clarify for me?

Too Mike and Danny ,

Would you like some cheese with your whine or better yet give the 100k back get a few roads fixed then retire from the city as you both need to call it quits before you both end up in a court room with a judge who could give a rats ass who you are and put your butts in jail.

Just saying you knew just what you where doing when you took the money to pay your private medical bills knowing that you where not hurt doing your city job, or was the medical bills for removing the sore off your butts due to you both sitting on them so long not working ?

If Dowd and Elliott complained that their districts were being neglected, then I say, "Good for them. That's exactly what they were elected to do -- to stand up for and represent their constituents."

They may be crooked as hell -- that remains for a court of law to determine -- but even if they are, that's no reason that the citizens of their districts should receive lesser treatment than the citizens in Pat Martinez's and Willie Mae Kennedy's districts.

We're very close, but quite different. He's a wannabe dictator and I am a diehard democrat. He's on a ego trip and I am down to earth. He's a Liar and I tend to tell the truth. Nothing wrong with having different position 'on almost all things' providing your position can be validated. Howvever, its awful to be wrong on almost all things, and if you differ from me as much as you say, then, hamburger!!

Yea! I think you got it right. If you are going to vote - research who is on your local ballot before you enter the ballot booth. Corrupt politics hurts harder when they are your local community members.

I was thinking of moving to the area. Understand that there is some real bad political corruption. Good ole boys playing power games and hiring relatives and friends instead of quality experienced employees to service the communities.

Also hear, never trust a man at his word. All business needs to be done in writing and there is some land grabber in that area. Is it the historical mark on the territory?

If they are complaining of their districts being neglected. it's because they haven't been doing a dang thing about it. They are too busy voting NO on anything that is put forth at the city council meetings.

At some point you ACTUALLY HAVE TO WORK TOGETHER to accomplish things.

Danny and Mike are too stubborn for their own good!

They are so focused on what Shapkoff wants, and what Hickman wants that they don't realize that they are only being used as puppets.

If Mayor Rose puts anything forth you KNOW that MIKE and DANNY will vote NO, not for anything else except to be seen as opposing the mayor.

Unfortunately what those two idiots don't realize is that they are chasing their own tails while the marionette's manipulator continues to create the same ol' drama.

Were you not at yesterdays meeting Tom Paine? I am thankful that they are asking where the additional 340,000 in fiine revenues is going to come in. That is doubling the amount of fines that were collected in the previous year! While I agree that speeding should be enforced there is some liits to be placed on all things. I saw that Danny actually voted along with the mayor on the Hickman issue yesterday to go to the Supreme cour and do another investigation of Hickman.

In other words, go along with the Mayor and vote "yes" on everything he requests, and your district will benefit.

Oppose the mayor in any way and the citizens of your district get ignored.

That's what you call "working together," right?

I don't know about Tom, but I was there. It was political theater on a grand scale, albeit pathetic compared to what I have seen in D.C.
Wasn't it Dowd and Elliot who just dragged some of their constituents up there in the last couple of meetings to lambast the Mayor for not doing something about the speeding problem in their districts?
So now he does something about it and y'all STILL aren't happy?
How did you think this was going to get solved? By asking speeders politely not to haul ass through our neighborhoods anymore?
They won't stop until it hurts their pocketbook and you guys know it. Now stop with the BS and complain about something legitimate.
You know, like why there are no TERM LIMITS for City Council members.
Seriously man, how can you sit up there for almost 20 years!? If 8 years is good enough for the POTUS, why not for Mayor and council?
Ask THAT at the next council meeting if you dare!
