I was wondering if anyone knew of a super good lawyer (local). I need one for divorce/child support info and help. I guess it would be family law.... But one who is good with military knowledge. Any help would be appriiciated. I don't want one who will string things out to make more, who works fast. Ty

Terry Lambright without a doubt. He is the most reasonably priced and knows the law. I wouldn't use him for criminal or law suit because he is a little timid but would do excellent for what you are needing.

Take care of the kids without having some judge tell you to do so. Take care of those babies. As far as the divorce, be fair and give the other partner their fair equity out of the accumulation. You don't need a lawyer for that.

My kids come first. They always will. But fair? Fair is about getting out of divorce when they cheated on you and had a baby with that woman. I have no problem being fair, but I want the fairness to be shared. And yes I need a lawyer for both. My kids are entitled to child support and equal division of property AND support. Fair isn't fair when she will get more for one child thn these kids will get for two. And I want a good lawyer to help me through it. Besides a lawyer has to sign papers for divorce.:/

Have you talked to Jag? I thought they helped in these situations. Shouldn't they provide you with free legal advice? I think he owes you whatever his BAQ (housing allowance)for spouse support, but I am not sure. You can pull info up under Army Regulations Military Law online about this kind of stuff. I mean the Army looks down on this if it was done during duty hours and if any cyber affair took place on a government blackberry or work computer he can be held accountable. Several of my friends went through all this while their husbands were deployed. Is the kid even his? Was this woman also in the military? I have a friend, he is military he cheated with a female soldier while tdy for 3 months in Germany. He left went back to his family and this soldier told him she was pregnant. He paid this woman child support and found out 3 yrs later from another guy who lived in DC, that he too was paying her thinking the kid was his. Needless to say the end was not good for the 3 of them.

I haven't talked to jag. I didn't even think they could/would help me. He will undergo the DNA test. But he knows it's his. So much so he wanted to waiver the test but has been advised not to. That baby looks more like him than my kids:0/.. There is no doubt. It was a secret LONG term affair. But dept of child support told him how much he will be having to pay when it's issued. His court in a couple months. But all the digging I have done, once she gets it it will lessen his pay and I calculated what my 2 will get and it's barely more than hers. Something's wrong with that. So I just need to get what my girls deserve and what I can to support them. I am not trying to screw him at all. But these were his decisions not ours. She was not in the military. But her husband was! And it happened during his workday. She would drive up out of state and stay in a motel and he would see her then... When he was support to be "going to work". a lot of his cheating was during military hours. Because his family wasn't around. I'm not sure of Jag. I have always heard they're no help. So that's why I need a lawyer military savy and who can work fast. I'll be darned if imma get screwed again bc her married butt made that decision to, and she gets to "her entitlement" first (cough cough) than me n these girls will be suffering hard. I'm just at a lost.

Its definitely best to have a lawyer when dealing with legal issues. I have gone through a divorce and know how messy it can be sometimes. What we adults need to do is make certain the kids aren't affected too much because of our differences. I will not comment on those issues none of my business. You know the facts and whats best for you. At all cost, lets protect the children, mines and theirs.

Just to be clear, if he/she are not taking care of the kids, get the judge to order him to honor his responsibility. My advise to you, keep fighting for your kids. Just don't allow us bloggers to get in your personal business. We love gossip. And we will give you bad info, because some of us know everything.

Everyone will have their favorite, there will be several suggestions, indicating a lot of "good lawyers", I would suggest you do some research, If he is a good lawyer, he don't have to be locally, for the kids sake, he can come from china. Research, as much as you can, acquaint yourself with as much information on Divorce in Louisiana and so on, when you do get a good lawyer, you will know if he is doing his job. You have to protect the kids, get all the info you can on the law. Consume yourself until its final. After that, you can lie down at night and say, lord I did all I can do. And make the best of whatever hand you have to play. Winning ain't always marvelous, but the notion that you are ready to protect the kids speak volumes. Think about this, you get a good lawyer, the opposing lawyer is a close friend of the judge hearing the case, what you think happens. These divorces and junk is a mess. If you can stay together, stay.

Thats why its so important to do as much research on the issue as you possibly can. If its not contested then it shouldn't be all that. Price shop like you do for gas, you may have to pay a little consultation fee, but heck, its for the children. No consultation or nothing until you have got familiar with the basis fundamentals of the procedure. There is plenty of info out there.

Without naming names, about how many attorneys around here we would consider a good attorney?

Go out of town, maybe DeRidder. The local attorneys are weak. I will say though, that Tony Tillman fought pretty hard for the killer, sizemore.
