Can't wait to see the market drop even lower and all you lefties start crying that things are not working and you lose your house or your job, but oh wait you can get on the governments rolls and stay home while others go to work for your lazy ass.

If you think people are going to put up with that, it's just a matter of time and old Barry will have done just what he set out to do and that is to bring down the US so he can hand it over to who ever, Russia, China, or even the UN.

For the ones who post they are sick of this type of rant........

DON'T F'EN READ THE DAMN POST !!!!!!!

Ghostsniper, give it up. Romney lost, Republicans are in the same position they were in 2 years ago. Majority in the House and a Senate that is controlled by Democrats. The PEOPLE of the United States spoke and they view Obama and his administration as the correct path for America. I hope for the good of the republican party that more people are thinking of constructive ways to gain back the support of America. People like you are only going to ensure future victories for democrats.

Labeling the liberals as "takers" is a very risky move. Sure there are those who take advantage of the government on the left, but look around Vernon Parish. Look at all the government corruption that is taking place. Given how dominantly red this parish was I would highly doubt it's only the liberals scheming against the government. I cannot see the the view point of one side as the makers and the other as the takers as a winning strategy for republicans. The math doesn't add up... of course you may have gone to the same school the Karl Rove went to. Then you can just make up whatever numbers you want to ease the pain of a liberal victory.

Read your post Mary Sunshine and read the bs from Slate.com and it sounds good but it is so lacking in information that it is practically worthless. Good try but I just don't buy it.

By the way I voted for the libertarian Gary Johnson. I knew Romney would carry this state and my vote wasn't needed so I voted for who I really wanted as president. By the way I am a registered Repubulican but am considering going independent because I am tired of the idiots in both parties.

Anyone who works in the everyday workings of a business knows that in the end Obama's Policies will hurt everyone from the rich to the poor. I know a few local businesses who will have to look into laying off in 2014 and sending the majority of their full time to part time.

I have also decided that maybe our country is not truly a democracy. Maybe though that is a good thing b/c if we are a true democracy, we are the longest lasting ever. All democracies of the past has failed and scientist say it's for one very simple reason, people are too stupid to pick the best leader.

In 2008 I was not worried about if Obama got elected b/c how much damage could one president cause, I mean we have check and balances. Skip ahead, this year I literally cried when he got elected. I am really starting to think we do not have a democracy at all b/c in my head the changes in the last 4 years were awful and what kind of country would re-elect someone has participated in this?

Maybe an IQ test should be given before you are allowed to register to vote. Or at least a test on the candidates polices to make sure people know who they are voting for. < That was partly a joke.

Let's be honest the majority of us including me can not understand most things the way the are written and to get better understanding we have to talk to someone who understands or pull out a huge legal dictionary. However, I wonder even if people took these measures if they would still really understand.

Bush was not a great president by far but Obama's administration can not blame him for the last 4 years and most definitely not for next 4.

Here is something I want people to do research on if they are interested, look at the countries around the world right now that are thriving and the type of government they run. Look at statistics and their (if any) federal assistance programs.

I will tell you what I found in basic terms they are hard workers, have very low obesity percentages and have long life expectancy. I love America I am so blessed to be born here but I really want our country to head in the right direction again and shine glorious among other countries. So my future grandchildren/great-grandchild ren will be also able to say they are blessed to be born in America.

I was talking about in general people are not capable of picking the best leader it is not an opinion but a fact. However, also while researching this exact topic I also read that people have a tendency to over estimate their capabilities, such as driving, writing and understanding information.

So what you're saying is for US to be thriving we need to follow the model of other countries that have

1) Hard workers
2) low obesity rates
3) Long life expectancy

I'm just curious, which countries would that include? I am willing to bet every country with a long life expectancy and low obesity rates have nationalized health care. I am also willing to bet they have extremely high taxes and a public welfare system. And gay marriage, put a check next to that one too.

Go do some research of your own, it's not really hard many american's whether they were for Obama or Romney had no idea who they were voting for.

One of the things that caught my attention was Obama supporters were told that Obama's policies were actually Romney's policies. These people went on to say that, they were immoral, unconstitutional and he was a downright idiot. Followed by we should never have someone in the white house with those beliefs. The whole time these were Obama's policies. Then responses were different from person to person, one person statement well he's Obama he knows what he is doing, I'm a liberal so I have to vote for him, one who downright said it was all lies and some were just shocked and had no idea what to say.

Ohio really did go to President Obama last night. And he really did win. And he really was born in Hawaii. And he really is legitimately President of the United States. Again. And the Bureau of Labor Statistics did not make up a fake unemployment rate last month. And the Congressional Research Service really can find no evidence that cutting taxes on rich people grows the economy. And the polls were not skewed to oversample Democrats. And Nate Silver was not making up fake projections about the election to make conservatives feel bad. Nate Silver was doing math. And climate change is real. And rape really does cause pregnancy sometimes. And evolution is a thing! And Benghazi was an attack ON us, it was not a scandal BY us. And nobody is taking away anyone's guns. And taxes have not gone up. And the deficit is dropping, actually. And Saddam Hussein did not have weapons of mass destruction. And the moon landing was real. And FEMA is not building concentration camps. And UN election observers are not taking over Texas. And moderate reforms of the regulations on the insurance industry and the financial services industry in this country are not the same thing as Communism.

Listen. Last night was a good night for liberals and for Democrats for very obvious reasons. But it was also, possibly, a good night for this country as a whole. Because in this country we have a two party system, in government. And the idea is supposed to be that the two sides both come up with ways to confront and fix the real problems facing our country. They both propose possible solutions to our real problems. And we debate between those possible solutions. And by the process of debate, we pick the best idea. That competition between good ideas, from both sides, about real problems in the real country should result in our country having better choices, better options, than if only one side is really working on the hard stuff. And if the Republican party, and the conservative movement, and the conservative media is stuck in a vacuum sealed, door locked, spin cycle of telling each other what makes them feel good, and denying the factual, lived truth of the world, then we are all deprived, as a nation, of the constructive debate between competing, feasible ideas about real problems.

Last night the Republicans got shellacked. And they had no idea it was coming. And we saw them, in real time, in real humiliating time, not believe it even as it was happening to them. And unless they're going to secede, they're going to have to pop the factual bubble they have been so happy living inside, if they do not want to get shellacked again. And that will be a painful process for them, I'm sure, but it will be good for the whole country - left, right, and center. You guys, we're counting on you. Wake up.

There's real problems in the world. There are real knowable facts in the world. Let's accept those and talk about how we might approach our problems differently. Let's move on from there. If the Republican party, and the conservative movement, and conservative media are forced to do that by the humiliation they were dealt last night, we will all be better off as a nation. And in that spirit, congratulations everybody.
