Wasn't designed to. The only benefit from this deal will be the city engineer and the contractors and the owners of that worthless real estate out there.

Anyways, yes new growth equals benefits. Larger city limits, née residential areas, new businesses, new sewer system in that area. Basically it will be the new leesville, while the current lees ole is preserved historically. Havemercy will disagree with the mayor, no matter who it is, as long as they are white. Kinda like the president. He, along with the others, thought that Obama would save them and that their would be a change as promised. Well... Actually there was a change... In the debt now being over 16 trillion. I still remember all of the black people, everywhere, who would out of no where blurt out "Obama". If one cut in front of you in line, he would say Obama. If you asked one to hush it up in the movies, they would say Obama. Of course I haven't heard that in a while. Maybe it's cause he won't stand up and fight like a man? I mean really, if you punch me and black my eye, am I goin to say I'm sorry for causing you to do that? Anyways I'm rambling about havemercy's choices in politicians. Note to self, find out who Louis votes for in November and vote for, the other guy. Gotcha! Lelelelelelelele!!! You have to be new. Louis can't vote. So I haul voters to the polls. You can cast 1 vote but I can haul until my money run out. Hamburger!

Ask your police juror, but not all that land is slated to be in the city of Leesville. Just down Hwy 467 to the college and on both sides a short piece. when that roads goes thru there is no guarantee that it wilkl be in th city limits. Th e Jury does not want to be cut out of their taxes and the court system also wlould lose. I think it will be Rose's biggest fight when he tries to annex that land in.

Most of the log trucks through Leesville are on 171, not 467 or 468 28yearresident wrote: Way to go, Louis. I thought that the road between 467 and 468 would factor to a loop around the cityso that all the Fing log trucks would not tear up our city streets.

Maybe we will be lucky and it will relieve alot of traffic conjestion in town. I wish they would build a by-pass from 171 north of town to the west wrapping around to 171 south of new llano, that would prob. help alot with traffic in Leesville, at least 18 wheelers would have a quicker easier way around the horrible traffic lights in town.

I may be wrong, but I think most of the loggers are coming from Sabine Parish on their way to the chip mill in Rosepine or to Boise in Beauregard Parish. A straight shot right down 171. havemercy wrote: <quoted text>The road at 468 may be so the loggers can get their products to market.

The concept seems interesting. However, just wondering where the money for the basic infrastructure would come from...city or parish? If I was a business owner looking to relocate, I would want to have all those things in place before committing to building my business. A lot needs to be done and then we'll see. The whole problem that I see is that noone will work together here to get anything accomplished for the betterment of the community. Too much time is spent degrading one another.

I would think someone would be moving dirt and putting in infrastructral for some of the proposed expansion and growth out on 467 and 468. What's the hole-up? Is this part of the vision or what? Bring on the growth. A water line and sewer line to the graveyard and a road through the woods, will not benefit the city of Leesville one darn bit. How will the city of Leesville benefit, I would like to know.

Where and when have havemercy ever claimed to be smart? He is, of course, but he doesn't boast about it. And since you're so smart, what makes you think a road through the woods connecting two rural two-lane roads is suddenly going to immediately attract new businesses and housing? There's plenty of room available for housing and businesses ON 467 and 468, but I don't see a waiting line of new business people with applications in hand. And if the businesses don't come (btw, where are they coming from?), then there won't be any need for houses. I mean, it's not like the area has a shortage of housing. obama bin laden wrote: <quoted text> Lelelelelelelele Because once the road is built, the businesses and housing will come. Duh retard. For someone that claims to be so smart you sure can't think ahead. Lelelelelelelele

I'd be very interested in knowing where those "statistics" come from, other than the top of your head. Could you tell me where I can find that in print, please? obama bin laden wrote: <quoted text>
But statistics show, and have proven throughout history, and history repeatedly repeats, that expanding ones corporal limits while adding bypasses, or new roads, in or near major attractions (colleges, landmarks, military bases) attracts local and outside entrepreneurs to be the first to capitalize on the new area. Build a road, and they will come.
