Retired teacher who cares

Cutting teachers is not the way to go when we consider our state budget. As a retired teacher I can tell you that your better teachers will begin leaving if the classroom ratio rises. You cannot teacher children in huge classes. If you want just a babysitter for the day there are plenty available but good teachers want to make a difference not just draw a paycheck. Cut the crazy things from the budget like buses carrying 20 students, admin salaries, paper for copiers(good teachers don't need a million busy worksheets),and admin assistant and office staff. What school needs 4 secretaries in an office
