Waldo-

I apologize that I offended you.

I was trying to offer peace to someone who I thought was a religious human struggling within. Take my words as they were intended, please.

I've learned a lesson from these posts, maybe you will also.

God Bless.

No apology needed and I was not offended. I did appreciate your care and concern for the Lewis family. In my own struggle I find it hard to understand how Dorothy Lewis managed to find any semblence of peace after what had happened to her. She has laid it before her God and that is where she gets her healing. I wish others could live by her example. I am not so sure that I could and that is what really disturbs me.

The guy deserves what he is going to get but you have to feel a little sorry for people like that. His mom was a drug addict and a prostitute. No wonder he turned out that way, he never had a chance. There needs to be some serious changes made in communities like that to keep this from happening again. Again, I still think he deserves whats coming.
I will bet good money that he had plenty of warnings from police and judges before this tragedy. He chose his victims, they didn't attack him. The shame is that there are several more murderers there that got the liberal supreme court to change their death sentence to life. When a jury and judge sentences a killer to death, their sentence should stand.

I still don't get why anyone would hold a prayer vigil for a monster like this? What has got to go wrong in someone's brain to protest this guy's execution? Maybe they should have been there that night, when these 2 poor kids were shot to death. You people make me sick - you stand out there and protest the death of these monsters when you should be celebrating the fact that they will never be able to hurt someone again. Look at Cooey, if they would have gotten rid of that horrible piece of trash the first time he hurt a child, Jessica Lundsford would still be around. And I don't even want to hear that he should be locked up for life - because that is NEVER the case. 10 years later they are released for good behavior and another kid goes missing.
everything you said is true. people like this should NEVER EVER be allowed on the streets again, and yet there are many cases in which they are let out. mainly on probation or parole. but with this guy you can never tell what he'll do so it is a good thing that he's getting executed tonight. I wish I could be there ...

Waldo, I cannot agree more with you when you say, "...we do not abide by Biblical Law, neither Old or New Testament."
Therefore, there is no reason we cannot seek justice, in a non-Biblical way, under secular law, and take this man's life as he took others' lives.

And this coward has the audacity to want to appeal and have his life saved ?? You shouldn't even be allowed a last meal. He bragged about being Satan when this poor woman pleaded in Jesus' name for her life and the girls. Well, tonight you will see your Master for all ETERNITY. Who's laughing now?

Better late than never! Glad this one is out of the way, now keep that needle going, and quickly too. Better yet, flood a hall in the prison, chain them altogether, march them into the flood zone, and hit the switch - ZAP - death row prison cells emptied and ready for the next batch (and the appeal system should be zapped too!) Way too long for the victims' families to have to deal with these monsters!

That is my point as well. It was civil and secular law that signed the death warrant -- not some verse from the Bible or Biblical principal. That is justice. We who believe in God also believe in God's mercy. That is who Henyard needs take this up with. Apparently Henyard became a Muslim so he has to take it up with Allah. My problem is that people seem to delight in the death but also seem to forget about the real victims of the crime. Dorothy Lewis is a class act and if she, a preacher, wants to quote the Bible then I don't have a problem with that at all.

"For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. "You have heard that it was said to those of ancient times 'You shall not murder'; and 'whoever murders shall be liable to judgment.' But I say to you that if you are angry with a brother or sister, you will be liable to judgment; and if you insult a brother or sister, you will be liable to the council; and if say 'You fool," you will be liable to the hell of fire."
Matthew 5:20-22.
So what is your point? Are you more righteous than the scribes and Pharisees? If so then I think you might have a point. The law wasn't abolished with the coming of Jesus but it was redefined. And of course my point is we do not abide by Biblical Law, neither Old or New Testament.
All of us will be weighed and we may be found wanting. We demand justice for others but we pray for mercy for ourselves.
okay, what does religion have to do with someone's execution? I'm not saying that because I'm not religious, even though I am, but I still don't see why we need to bring it up. that man deserved to die for his crime and we should leave it that way.

His mom was on drugs and a prostitute , but he was not raised by her . I know who he was raised by and she is a GOD fearing women who's raised plenty of kids. He was grown as hell when he did what he did . I'm not saying what he did was right but you can't blame the parents for what there grown child did. When they are kids and still in your household that's different . Rick had plenty of sense and knew better , he just didn't use it.
