You see the kind of kids that hilltop has? Ones that can't even spell or make a complete sentence. He got some nerve talking about it was cracking. Who really cares how it went down? Hilltop needs to put the law down. If you are going to house kids that have broken the law then why the hell are they going on home passes? People in the county that have broken the law don't get home passes. These kids get a slap on the wrist for committing the same types of crimes that the adults do. These kids are sent back to their communities to do the same things over and over again. Most of the crime that takes place are committed by these same little bad asses that had the riot and then go on a home pass. If you treat them like the criminals they are then they might learn something. They may know how to act once they get back out in their communities. You send them to kiddie camp, they only learn how to become bigger and better criminals. Put a grip on it.

Kiddie camp it is! That riot is 1 of many!!! There's no real authority because the kids are pampered! Hummmm, how do I know;-)They house ALL types of offenses from minor to major, where adults in those situations get life in prison (without parole)! Kids sneak drugs and weapons back to that campus. I bet the people who live in that community who own those mini mansions didn't know nor signed up for this. That whole system needs to be evaluated! Out with the old in with the NEW.

Hilltop is like a kiddie camp. Some of the kids do need to go to other facilities such as the juvenile detention center, McCune, or to State considering these are better monitored facilities. Some of these kids do catch breaks that they should not get. But lets be real everyone. Fighting can easily break out in the city or county jail too!

You hit the nail on the head when you said they are pampered. They do a lot of things that kids AKA criminals shouldn't do. They have picnics, parties, go to worlds of fun, go to the movies and the list goes on. Trust me, I know all of this. If you only knew all of the crimes they committed to get there. True, they mix runaways and kids with behavior problems in with them but they shouldn't. They should be consequented totally different. This is a topic I can go on and on about because I been there. I see what goes on behing those walls. Its sad.

It really was a kiddie camp before, but now that they are under a new program the kids don't get to sit around like they used to. They have to run groups all day and if they do get into a fight they have to start anger management over, also if they think it's gang related then they also have to start the gang intervention over again.

The story doesn't say, but here is what I suspect.

The riot was due to one thing, TNB*.

Parents, this is where your kids end up when you don't get, and stay involved in your kids education and lives. Your job is not to be their friend. Your job is to be their mentor. Your job is to monitor the crowd they hang out with and help them stay out of trouble. Your job is to encourage them and most of all....love them. If this is too much work for you please do yourself and everyone a favor and don't reproduce.
