They just posted a story on left over horse meat in Puerto Rico, ship the dam things up here, make the prisoners butcher and cook them themselves. It will teach them skills. They will learn how to be cooks and butchers. Win, win. Show me the down side will you?

1 OK. Lets expand on your theory. With what you said, you should have included, like all animals that you can't make obey the rules, then they are either put down or keep in cages all their lives so not to hurt humans. These animals are in jail/prison for a reason. They need to be treated as such. They are not some little boy that needs constant looking after. Get a grip. Jails were created to keep you safe from the bad people. If we can't get them to function in society, then you take them out of society. It is simple. |

1 Accountability keeps people honest. You don't want the sheriffs to be acting like the inmates. |

Should agree with it all. It only makes sense. |
If Sheriff Joe in Maricopa County Arizona can do it, any Sheriff can do it. What the hell is El Paso County waiting for??? I see prisoners going into jail/court rooms here , look like they been eating OUR steak and potatoes. Tortillas, salsa and water, good food. Don't think either Sheriff Joe Arpaio or the Alabama Sheriff "pocket" any money. This is money that they save the taxpayer. Sheriff Joe even took over animal shelter. Gives good inmates a dog, for a friend and saves money , again for taxpayers. But I am sure their are no politicos in El Paso even consider anything that would save the taxpayers money. Not in El Paso. They take all they can get from us. |

Two things:
1. What the hell is a Reverend doing visiting jails to register inmates to vote? Normally when we think of prison ministries, we get these images in our heads of spiritual advisors urging inmates to leave behind their wicked ways and set out on a new course for their lives. For those for whom it is legal, I have no problems with the fact that someone helps them to register, but why a preacher? 2. Sounds like the last place you want to break the law and go to jail be in Alabamy. Think I might want to keep my nose pretty clean next time I drive through that state! |

1 Who the heck is suggesting restaurant quality dining? But you can barely feed a DOG on $1.75 a day. When the state incarcerates a citizen, they take on the responsibility of keeping them well: fed, housed and clothed ADEQUATELY. No one can argue that $1.75 a day is adequate. No one. If you do, I question your humanity. |
|
Can you live on $1.75 a day? |

They should have run this article next to the one on high food prices. Problem defined...and solved!

What never ceases to amaze me, all these post from all over this USA of ours. Seems many of us keep changing our names. Seems many of us are as screwed up from one part of the country to the next. But do love the bull$hit. Ha! Ha! Keep up the good work.
