Giving to help others
Giving to help others is all that I have done since coming back from the Vietnam conflict. People (Like Phil) ask me what they can do to help. I tell everyone the same thing to copy and send my letters to newspapers, friends, blog and anywhere else to get people away from the neglect of by rejection or ignoring US Military in need of help. Phil wrote me about his 100% combat disabilities that he is being reject by the VA for medical care. A US Military Veteran in need of medical care himself wants to help others. These are the type of men and women that make up our armed forces that protect and defend the freedom of the USA. One might ask why the news media would censor opinion letters of US Military Veterans telling of wrongs against us coming home mentally as well as physically. It is because our symptoms do not show up for years and even we try to ignore them. We can be fine one moment and a raging lunatic in your eyes the next. A sound, a sight or even life around us at the moment can bring a different world of survival (flashbacks) citizens that never have been there can conceive possible. I help others every day as a form of respect to all those that did not come back alive. What they gave cannot be in VAIN. NH creates Homeless Veterans by ignoring and rejecting our needs.
My wife and I put our life savings plus mortgaged our home to buy waterfront property to build a place for homeless and mentally and/or physically disabled US Military Veterans to go and live as a sanctuary for safety to try to come back. The name-calling and accusations has already started but that is all right for freedom is to let everyone think as they wish. My design is simple to build 12’x24’ one bedroom cabins in the woods on the eleven acres for the veteran’s to call home for as long as it takes free of charge. There will be a 16’x24’ Chapel as God’s home to highlight the need for those that wish to show respect for God as they choose. I want a handicapped access to go from Stepping Stone Rd all the way to the water’s edge and paths through the woods for the Veterans to move around and talk to God or any one they wish with out others to point a finger at and call crazy. Our physical and mental conditions came from protecting and defending the USA. I respect my wife for letting me put everything we have to help other Veterans from the rejection from the VA and government that they have done over the years to me from happing to others.
The newspapers believe they can silence my efforts by censoring my letters telling of the wrongs. I hope some day US Military Veterans in need of help are not classified as mentally deranged citizens and given the finger. Our life changed for what we did and now it is the citizens we did it for that have to change their opinion of what we have become.
Help my Wife and I by telling the news media censorship is wrong.
