I hate Berkshire Bank. They're sign on system never works. I can never access my account without problems. I hate it that Rome Savings Bank sold out. Nothing but greed for the investors. Rome Savings Bank was great. But as all small banks, they had small profits. Big deal. They were profitable, and people liked them. Now, it's part of a bigger bank. That means: 1-800 numbers where you have to wait, more mistakes, and less personable. Time to change banks.

I like rome savings better too. I never do any of my banking online though so i wouldnt know about that. To me thats only one step closer to getting ur account info into the wrong hands. I dont care how secure they say it is. The security is only as smart as the person that programmed it. And there is always going to be someone smarter that can hack it. Maybe not but y take the chance.

They sent you notices 6 months ago, 2 months ago, and 30 days ago letting you know this weekend was upgrade weekend. They even provided you with a preview of the upgraded system for the last 3 weeks. Rome Savings Bank upgraded how many times? NONE! When you went over to Europe, was your Rome Savings Bank ATM Card useable? NOPE! Darn thing wouldn't even work in Canada until 1 year before Rome Savings Bank sold and then the transaction fee was $11.25. Yeah, Rome Savings Bank was great. Great at screwing the mobile customer.

Why doesn't the time/temperature sign work on Black River Blvd? Too cheap to fix it?

That thing never worked right. It's a legacy product of a bank that gave it's customers shoddy products. All you need is to ask. The sign is being replaced Q2 2013 with an LED sign.

Oh and when you call the automated phone balance number that stupid women voice says "last transaction" real sarcastically too.
Here is a clue. Stop over drafting. No matter what order your transaction are the final amount would never be more then your available balance unless you are over drafting. Oh and they are not ATM loans they are Overdrafts.

Debit card transactions appear on your statements in a different order than you use your card MOST of the time with MOST banks and credit unions. It's because not all point of sale locations send off their transactions at the same time as the transaction is made. Some bundle theirs, others transmit only every 48 hours. Some are transmitted almost immediately. So you may use your card in three places, but the last place you used it may well be the first one to appear.

Regardless, if you were keeping track of your money you'd not be overdrawing your account regardless of "what order" your debit card transactions show up in.

Of course you are also deliberately drawing more money out of your account than you have available via using your debit card at the ATM and referring to it as an "atm loan" so I expect you get exactly what you deserve. The problem is it's people doing what you do that cause banks to raise their fees to compensate, which makes the honest people have to pay through the nose when they make a legitimate mistake.

They just opened the new branch in Rome. I love this bank, their service is outstanding. I changed to them about 8 yrs ago. Even refinanced my mortgage with no closing costs! Highly recommend them.

So it has been out of order since Q2 2012 and it takes a year to get the most visible signage in the city repaired?

Berkshire needs to get its act together.

<quoted text>Ok Mr. whateva. First of all you have no idea what your talkng about. I know exactly where and when I used my card. I also keep track of my money which is how I know the scam that they were running. Usually, all week long the transactions would go through in the order I used the card. Debits are to go through immediatly, credit doesn't go through right away. Regardless, on the weekends the same places that would push through my debits right away during the week, magically just so happened to wait just long enough for all the larger amounts to go through first and cause me multiple bounces. It is not coincidence you fool that it happended this way, and several times.
This makes banks raise their rates? You are retarded. Berkshire opened with the 35 dollar charge from DAY 1. RSB had a 20 dollar fee for some time and I used the atm loan all the time with them, which they always made money from, has nothing to do with being honest you idiot. You really think that if banks lost money as you claim on atm loans they would allow you to do it?
And if you had any idea how to handle your finances you would be intelligent enough to stop using moronic terms like "atm loans."

But what do I expect from an ignorant idiot like you.

As with many morons I tell you simply, I'm done with you. Don't have time for your stupidity. When you are destitute and bankrupt have fun living on the system.

From this point on I won't waste the time it takes to respond to you. I have far better things to do with my time than keep making you prove just how stupid you are. Please, don't see it as a sign of victory (though I know you will) take it for what it is: It is impossible to win an argument with an idiot, and since you have now proven REPEATEDLY that you are an idiot, I will simply leave you to your own ignorant rants. Let others have the fun of rattling your cage.

<quoted text>LMAO your even stupidier than I thought. The banks make money off the atm loans. Oh and that is exactly whatg it is, A LOAN. A loan is when you get money and then pay it back w interest you idiot. Many people do an atm cash loan before payday, they do it all the time AND the bank makes money, otherwise they would not let you do it MORON.
Oh and I did bust you posting under a diff name ahhahaha cuz you responded when I called you mr whateve, BUSTED you're a troll nothing more

The atm overdraft is a loan. Since Berkshire took over they allow $750.00 overdraft protection at $32 a pop,I thought but it may be $35. If you qualify you can actually get the protection loan and pay a percentage on what you use instead of the fee per overdraft.

The problem I find with the online banking site is this...I keep track only using the site. When it was Rome savings bank you could go to Walmart, fast track or anywhere and use your card as a debit then go home, look online and see your transaction right away, even if it was midnight or 2 am. Bershire says there system is better and more updated this is why it takes longer. Maybe it is just me but that makes NO sense. Also if you use your card as credit it takes like 3 days to show online but it is charged the day it is used. This was not so with RSB. If you have auto pay it is charged 2 or 3 days before it shows. This one got me. I looked back to the previous month and figured I would have the money in on time. My online account showed a positive balance when it posted BUT I was charged an overdraft fee. I was livid. I went down and calmly complained. I started with "I know this is not YOUR fault so I appologize if I sound angry but..." They explained that things take a couple days to show after they post. I like the bank and I would give the tellers and even the higher ups a 9 to 10 rating. But the online banking gets a 5 at most. I did notice something post after hours a couple days ago,so maybe they are getting better.

LOL! I'm a troll because I use more than one name. Fine. Actually I use three different names because I post under three different locational forums (Rome, Fulton and Camden) because I have lived in all three and like to keep up on the local trash and events. It helps me to keep straight WHICH one I am posting in. I don't attempt to deceive ANYONE. I don't have any reason to. It just so happens that, if you NOTICED it, the "name" field is automatically filled in with the last name you use and I occasionally forget to switch back to the correct one for the region I'm posting in. But yeah, I'm a troll alright. LOL!
