Need a good vet that is not overpriced, but not really sure who to go with. My puppy needs her 1 year check up. Any suggestions would be great.

All vets are over priced these days. They want to push every type of flea and tick med on the market. Then there is the teeth cleaning preps etc. They push spaying and neutering if that has not been done already. The list goes on and on. The best advice I can give you is to find a vet that takes a friendly interest in your pet. One that takes time to observe it and answers your questions. I have good luck with Dr Calabrese on Rome Taberg Rd just past the Walmart a couple of miles. I definitely do not like Dr Brockway on North Turin Rd by the Nice and Easy. She got upset at me when I did not buy into the product she was pushing. She said "Well I can see I am wasting my time with you." She then proceeded to give my dog a shot and angrily jammed the needle in so hard that the dog screamed in pain. I took all my business from there that day and never went back. Good luck in your quest.

Just wait a bit. Once Obamacare hits, vet bills are going to skyrocket.
