This whole area lost- Delcambre, Erath, Henry, Forked Island.... there's no need to keep trying to "up each other". I'd say it's about equal, so stop the nonsense...find something useful to do with your time, like spend quality time with your family and counting your blessings. We are surviving and are now recovering. Let's be grateful for that. There are a lot of people dealing with terminal illness, bankruptcy, and other issues. We're okay now, so let's be positive.

I think that says alot about a man. He loves his community and what do we know what he or his family, community went through at the time. Very trying time for all. I went to the Erath football game this past Friday, and to see all of the town there in support of their children is very touching, a community that very much pulls together in all areas, wether its in bad times or good times.
It was a hard time for many, so why knock a person because they may have compassion still after the floods have gone, his memory is still vivid of a trying time and how he remembers the strong will of his fellow neighbors, how they gave and helped each other so Erath could be the town it is today.

2 vehicles involved in an accident. In one vehicle a couple looses 4 children while in the other vehicle a couple losses 3 children. Whose grief is greater? Most of the answerers will go for the biggest number but I don't see any scale on grief. That's just me.

There are some elected officals that really care about their towns but the number is few and they get laughed at. I don't56 think anything will change here because of some of the people here. They don't support the few.

I would say that the grief is pegged out in both cases.

A very well written, touching story about Mr. LeBlanc and Erath. I agree that other nearby towns suffered as much or more, but there is nothing wrong about singling one out and speaking to its merit in restoration through unity.
