It is interesting that you would post this question 2 days before John Adams announced in the BHC that he is stepping down. NOBODY was told about it beforehand----not the coaches, players, co-workers, nor the loyal fans. Coincidence or are you on the inside? Go red!!!

Well what i think is funny is he announced it to the paper but didnt have enough gumption to have a meeting with his PLAYERS that have played their a$$ off for the past years for the man. Taking every order and just running with it even though they knew they were getting their A$$ worn out! A real coach would have had a meeting so they wouldnt have had to read it in the paper at school!

...IF the right person is hired. the talk is there's only two in the running to be the new head coach at this point. unfortunately, the one who should replace john adams isn't interested.

I would love to see Joey Long step up to the plate. He was my special teams and JV coach and did a hell of a job. I miss being around that guy, he was funny and inspiring.

No way he leaves his nice admin job as princepal to coach.
i personally always felt coach garrett would be a good fit, but he too is in an admin job.
the current D coordinator seems to have good chemistry with the players. they seem to like him.
you really think so

I suppose if one of those men wanted to coach, they'd give up something to have it. And, who is the defensive coordinator? Also, liking the new coach will be a plus, but I (as do many others) feel we need someone who will bring discipline to the football team.

Darrell Taylor is the D-coordinator. Darrell is a good defensive guy, but we need a new face to run the show. We need someone the kids can believe in and trust in--Darrell does relate to the players but its time to bring in a new fresh coach with a offensive mind someone who can open the it up and bring excitement back to Pioneer football I remember a time when you could not find a seat to watch a game but time has change and now we need a change-

We have had some great talent at LHS and some very good weapons like a few years ago we had 2 very athletic TE's that were at least 6' 3 and 6' 6' and what did we do with them we split them out to a WR and use them as decoys---they should have been used down the middle of the field and dump the ball off to them---- no one was tall enough to defend them--------Come on man--------everybody knew what we was going to do either run left run right or up the middle. It doesn't take a genius to defend that-------all u have to do is put 8 in the box

I have heard that Phillip Henley would leave his job in administration in a heartbeat for a chance to coach again.

Taylor wants the job. Henley is, allegedly, willing to leave his admin job for head football coach. Doc Adams isn't interested. Some think it should be young blood-----I'd bet those young assistant coaches would love being named head coach, but that IS NOT going to happen. And some people would even like to see former assistant coaches Garrett or Long take the position. Well, that takes care of every possible candidate. Or does it? Finally, some excitement going on in Lebanon.

I can tell you the coach will not be an "outsider" it will be one of the two mentioned
