Stay away from church,
THE BEST RULES TO FOLLOW ARE:
Sunday morning sleep in rest.
Sunday afternoon Beer, TV, and more rest.
Monday thru Saturday MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS
and leave the rest alone, live decent, don't steal, don't cheat, don kill, go forth be fruitful and forget the ways of modern hypocrites and money hungry low life's.
And above all love your children and your family!
treat your neighbors as if they were your best friends and family.
ALL THAT will get you way further than any organization or book made up by Man Kind.

The best thing is to not go to a church in your community. Go to the neighboring county and find one. The least you know about your fellow church members the better. It is worth the drive. Highlands in Abingdon is great and worth getting up earlier for the drive.

Green Valley Baptist Church on Green Valley Rd in Lebanon, VA A good church and a great youth leader and lots of activites for the kids.
That's not what I heard! Maybe they have a different leader than they did when my kids attended the program about a year ago. We may try again if they have a different leader!!

You can not blame the downfall of an entire church on one person!

My family and I are relatively new to Lebanon and are trying to find a church to go to. Would like to find one that has a laid back welcoming atmosphere with no talking behind your back and people being judgmental. Also would like a church where you can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Somewhere that has a good program for kids too. I know that there is no such thing as a perfect church but really do need to find one local instead of driving back to the town we moved here from which is about 30 minutes away. Just would like to find a church family here. Please do not turn this into a church blasting post. Would like honest opinions but please keep it civil.
i responded with the first response here about nobody getting along in this town, and a church on every corner. and every body judging you.
i think these people have done nothing but enforce what i said.

Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Most people that use the type of rationalization as blessed be are either looking for an argument or blissfully ignorant and incapable of forming their on opinions.

The lebanon churches are just as bad as swords creek. I've had preachers he in lebanon tell me it was ok to lie about taxes and to rural houseing. had them tell me you can still go to heaven if you kill yourself. Ive had them threaten to fight me and compare there self to god. had them hit on my wife and everything.

Just tell your wife to give the preacher some pun-tain pie,she will be more than welcomed at church,as for you,you can stay at home, drink beer, watch tv. And play around on topixs!

What is the world coming to? Every week on the news some preacher arrested for something aweful? Then all these local preachers cheating, liars, screwing around, stealing,... etc. How can you believe a thing any of them have to say?

Ask not what the church can do for you, ask what you can do for the church.

My husband and I just started to go to this church about a month ago. We love it! They have a nursery and different classes for children for their age levels. Everyone has been super nice to us, and the preacher has a very well thought out message.

They also have started having mid week services, I have not attended any, but from what they describe it sounds great.

use to go to Highlands. Community heights is at lebanon high school on sunday morning 10:30. I have also tried Lebanon Fellowship but didn't really learn anything and my kids was not happy with the kids stuff. My family tried Community Heights and we learn something just like we did going to Highlands. It is not as far to drive and not as big and we like it a lot better. Everyone is really nice to us the first day we went and our kids are happy and want to go back and for us that is what counts. I think you will know the right church for you when you go. The hard part is going the first time. you can wear what you want also. Hope this helps Good Luck and God Bless
