Just to back up my point, here is a good read why that 1997 team might be best ever in state. Article was submitted by someone other than me about what was best team ever in HS football in TN.......... The 1997 undefeated championship team should be considered one of the best teams in Tennessee high school football history. That team still holds the record for points scored in a season with 793 points through 15 games. The biggest stat from that season is the fact that they outscored their opponents 793-53. That means that over the course of the season they only allowed an average of 3.5 points a game while scoring over 52 points a game! The 1997 Trousdale County Yellow Jackets capped off a great season with a 45-0 win in the state championship against Clarksville Academy.

Chad Evitts graduated in 96, so he wouldn't have even played on that team.
