My mom lives at Elmcroft in Lebanon. I think it is fabulous. She is very happy there and very well cared for. The Healthy Lifestyles director (Activities Director) has lots of things going on for the residents, both onsite and offsite. The staff is very caring. My mom has lived there for over a year and really enjoys her home there. The grounds are lovely. I would be happy to answer any specific questions you might have. My mom lives in the building closest to W. Main. She is not in the memory care facility of Elmcroft. So, maybe I cannot answer all your questions if you are interested in the memory care facility. Please email me at [email protected] if you want more specific information.

Well, if you have concerns about the facility, I would be interested to hear them, but I am only going by our experience, which is all I can do.

Okay, well, you're pretty vague. If you have something specific that you've heard, post it. How many things have you heard? How many times have you heard of a particular thing happening? Have the families consulted the leadership to try to resolve the issue(s)? Or have they just complained to you about them? Have you heard negatives from one family, or ten? Are these issues recent? 2010? 2009? 2008? 2007? When? I'm not trying to be a jerk. I'm genuinely interested in what you have heard. My mom is hopefully going to spend the rest of her life there and if there is something I should know, I'd be interested to hear it and weigh it against my experiences and I would be happy to ask questions at Elmcroft. This is a secure site. No one knows your name. I wish you would post in specifics instead of generalities.

Well im not for sure about the bottom building but at the top building i do know there are falls that have happened an not been reported with other families there to witness it, employees disrespecting residents, showers not given, people left dirty, no supplies for the workers to work with, people with bad illnesses being let out in the building freely with the healthy residents, i know two people that work there an thats all they talk about an this has all happened within 2009 and 2010. The faculty is the problem and from what i have heard it does no good to talk to them about your problems and they talk about the families of the residents when they do ask them to do stuff different or change the residents care plan. I have also heard the bathrooms stink and smell like they are never thouroughly cleaned. I have heard more than enough about elm croft to know not to put my family there but if you want to you can always ask Angela about all of this but she probably wont be able to tell you about it if she could an may not know about this but everyone else that works there does and continues to do the things they have been doing. like i said just do your research mam. i mean no disrespect i just think these things should be told.

I had a family member there myself and i got my family member out of there when something happened that i do not want to going into detail about but no they do not do incident reports and i am proof of that! They have favorite employees that get away with anything an they are all very close you cant trust anyone there if you want my opinion they run the only good workers they have off an the ones that do nothing, like write up reports when they are supposed to, do anything and everything they want! My family will never recommend this place to anyone. When the nurses leave the cnas get to run the medicine and give it out an some of them got fired over messing with it inappropriatly but if you want your families around that go for it but that place is the last place on earth i would ever send my family if i were any of you all and that is me being as honest as i possibly can be!

my opinion may not mean much but i worked there to an its all true i promise and people mess with the medicine cart and everything and you want these people taking care of your families? i dont think so. yall really may not believe me but if it was a good place i would still be working there but i knew how it was an left we are told how to act and what to do in front of residents families to keep our jobs. you may think someones friends with you that works there but you never know some of them just act nice to get you to tell them things an they run to their bosses an tell them everthing an then they treat your families bad when your gone. i know one residents wife got mad about his showers so they stopped giving him one at all an just changed his clothes an we all had to write down everythin we wore an everythin because they thought it would be to much for his wife an make her give it up about his showers annndddddd one resident died because no one checked n him for over three or four hours that could have been prevented... there is alot you people really dont know about. advice... get your families OUT OF THERE it used to make my almost cry i even passed out one day i got so stressed out over everything. oh and by the way they make you work when your sick to weither or not your contagiuos because thats just how great they really are so when your families get sick you know why.

I understand alotd of those concerns but fromwhat i hear they are cracking down on the cleanliness and the laziness of workers. they have better caregivers and nurses now and should be given a second chance.

We've got one of those Elmcrofts in Raleigh, NC - what a dump. My aunt's sister has family there in the memory care unit and it's dirty, smells and just a horrible place.

I have been reading on this place and also listening to real people comment. You know in my opinion i think if u can keep your family members with you thats the best thing. As far as the cleanliness for instance the odor, that would be a natural smell especially when you urinate on yourself and you don"t get regular showers i"ve heard that a resident the memorycare facility never wants a shower so they just let her do without because she fights them.think about that! Is that good care for any body? There is one nurse that i hear her name sound out im thinking its Paula.DOES NOT SEEM TO BE ANY GOOD COMMENTS ABOUT HER. Someone named ANGELA not much positive about her either. This only from talk dont know them and could care less to know them. It sounds like good employees are run off from there. This comment came from a management there & THEY R STILL THERE!

I TELL YOU WHAT REALLY NEEDS TO BE DONE....TAKE THE SO CALLED HIGHER RANKED PERSONNEL AND REPLACE.SEEMS LIKE THEY NEED A CLEAN SWEEP OF NURSES AND ADMINISTERS. THEY KINDA SOUND LIKE THEY LIKE TO HIRE FROM INSIDE TO KEEP IT THEIR WAY. THINKING THE LAZINESS ARE SAFE FROM BEING FOUND OUT

Have you ever heard of resident rights??? You cant make a resident do anything, if you do you could be charged with abuse so maybe you should check your facts... you sound ignorant. I do like Paula and Angela. Your opinins about them are probably as uneducated as your ridiculous accusations about not caring for resdents. So if you were a SMART employee,(which ovbiously your not) you would know that if there is any truth behind these accusations you can always call the ombudsman, which would be the proper thing to do not gossip online. Same with families, you can always call the ombudsman. If I am correct, I dont believe Elmcroft of Lebanon was cited on their last survey, which is a great accomplishment for an assisted living facility. I hope you can find a great home for yor family Sue, im sorry you were mislead about Elmcroft.
