Wilson County Fair Gun Fight

We were going to the Fair but heard there was a shooting Friday night. We can not find any news stories. The Wilson County Fair websites news section has nothing, just like the Lebanon Democract and Wilson Post. Did it really happen or they keeping it quite like all other negative news that happens in this town? We need to know facts before carrying kids to the OK cararrol . This place is getting like Tombstone. Bank robbers, gangs, thieves, etc.

We looked at WSMV, WTVF, and MSNBC sites and information was very limited. Does anyone have first hand knowledge? We are still trying to determine if it is safe to carry our 2 and 6 year olds to the fair?

I was shot at by the black scum bag after he threw stuff at our car. I put the car in park and got out and told my wife to call police. When I looked back I saw the gun and and when I turned to run he started shooting. So go to the fair an enjoy yourself. Just ignore any o e starting trouble or throwing stuff at your vehicle and u should be fine... And to the poster who called his wife a dummy. That's just as ignorant as the black scum crow project living lowlife that shot at me 4 or 5 times. I was only 15 ft from him when he shot at me. But due to fact he's a kid with a gun he didn't even know how to aim it!!! I'll find him or the police will.. Hope they find him first

I am glad the person that got shot at is ok, that is very scary. You have to look over Jimbo he has had some sexual frustrations built up I believe, I tried working on him with it but he refuses.

Hi guys I worked a booth today there at the fair and there were so many cops it was crazy so if someone has the balls to try anything from this point on they are crazy and as for the shooting it was after hours (they close at 10:30) and this is the FIRST time it's ever happend at the Wilson co fair we belive it was an isoliated incident of some young punks.

I'm glad no one was hurt! Him and his boys are probably laughing there @ss of now. It would of been nice if you were concealed carry and safely gave him one round center mass, dropped like a sack of potatoes. Then there would of been one less low life career criminal (black or white) running the streets!

i agree 100% except with the one round deal...put enough rounds downrange to eliminate the target and threat. If its one then good for you. But i would at least give him the good ol infantry double tap when he was down to make sure he wasnt playing dead like them gd mujehadeen or aiq

We were at the fair last night and everything was good. I would feel safe enough to take my three grand kids. I am a very protective grandma. So take the kids and have fun. No one is a dummy Whene you are a mother, protecting your children is priority. Have a wonderful day.

LOL....Well the safely one round was for the fair setting. He sent stray rounds every which way but as a criminal didn't care if one hit a baby in the car traveling down the road. He would have been justified to return fire but you are responsible for each and every round that leaves your weapon! For example Wilson Co is very rocky and a round that appears safely fired into the ground could ricochet with deadly consequences. So yes I would try to keep rounds fired to a minimum to neutralize the threat.

Spent all day there with my children and my grandmother it was safe with no drama business as usual. Its sad there was a bad seed in the bunch Friday but that I'm sure was an isolated incident.
