Funny they wait until a rainy day to announce the burn ban!

We just had rain yesterday. Why do we need a ban now?

Sometimes I think our friends in the fire departments get a little too anxious about things...

No, my weenie roast. I have this neat package of hot dogs with the faces of great commi-lib leaders like Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Rendell...

Just not sure I want to eat 'em; afraid they'll taste like manure...

As someone who has a neighbor that burns everything all the time, this comes as a pleasure. I can't even sit out on my patio without his constant smoke coming over to annoy. Not to mention, can't hang out laundry (on my property) to try to save energy costs. I love this ban. Now, the enforcement is another thing entirely....

Dude, what is your obsession with Kip Kelly? It's one thing to beat up on Adam Gingrich and Faith Bender because they are in leadership positions and deserve to be tormented. But Kelly?

Ironic that GLRA is in on determining / recommending a BURN BAN when they are the direct beneficiaries of ELIMINATING BURNING. They have a MONOPOLY in the County and ELIMINATING BURNING altogether would increase their businesses and the business of trash haulers in the County.

OF COURSE Talyor is against BURNING, his BONUS depends on it.

Will you please stop bringing logic into this?

does this mean I can't burn my tires in the field now? or I just have to wait a month?

This might be an inconvenience to many people, but if it saves one house from burning down or one forest fire from starting, it is worth it. We need to be more respectful of the County Commissioners who are looking out for our overall best interests

how can a month long burn ban bring about plans for a permanent burn ban? Larry Taylor opposes outdoor burning, and so do I, if it is tires. I also can guarantee that Larry Taylor doesn't have a landfill in his back yard. If you think burning a few plastic bottles is damaging the environment more than run-off and seepage into drinking water and eventually the bay, you might want to consider doing a little research.
