Homeless Hotel Downtown

An application has been made to open a hotel for homeless folks on West Ash Street just off Main Street.
Is this appropriate for such a small downtown in Oregon?
Are there similar homeless hotels in other local downtowns? Albany? Sweet Home? Corvallis? Philomath?
As the "boomer" gereration retires and moves to Lebanon (in new homes and assisted living facilities), Lebanon is going to be faced with service issues for many older folks.
Possibly service for those folks should be a concern rather than for the "homeless."

don't be such a tool. homelessness isn't just a problem in the bigger cities.

Wow,are you saying that in this day and age when our economy is the worst it's been since the early 80's..that homelessness should'nt be a main concern.people are losing they're jobs and becoming homeless every day...in huge numbers.I think a homeless shelter/soup kitchen would be a great idea.I would volunteer!
