Oh my God I can't believe that CCHS didn't cover this one up. 10 days out of school that is nothing but a vacation for those involved they should be expelled forever. And made to do some sort of community service. Why hide the names?? What just because they are juveniles?? They want to act like adults and break rules and laws they should be treated like adults it's not like they are in elementary or middle school. Let eveyone know what idiots they are.And hold the parent who didn't hide they're vicodin responsible.....

I'm a Junior at CCHS, and was there when all this occured:

I totally agree that 10 days Out of School is a pointless, and totally wasted punishment. 10 days at home doing nothing teaches these morons nothing. As for why Dr. Helsel didn't try to cover this up is because there was no way he could. We sat in 5th period for an hour and a half while all of this went down. As soon as the Code Blue(medical)/ Code Secure(the drug search) was called off I knew exactly who, what, where, and when in two minutes or less. As in many high schools news travels fast. I think Dr. Helsel's a really reasonable man, but those kids were lucky I'm not in charge. I would've expelled them post haste! Oh, well. I don't think their troubles are over. The kid(s) that were/was dealing the drugs are facing charges and possible felony. It doesn't totally surprise me that this kind of stuff was going down. What suprises me is that it went down during school. Yeah, CCHS has tons of stoners, but... wWOWw!

So after 10 days suspension all those involved, if they play sports, they just are let back on the team. All the good kids who "aren't a good enough athlete" and wouldn't do something so stupid, never even get ONE chance to prove they can be a good athlete and a role model for the school!!
