My daughter lost a queen size box spring and twin mattress Monday Jan. 30th. They had been tied into a Dodge Dakota pickup truck after being purchased a FFO at about 5:30 to 6:00 pm that evening. Probably on highway 5 just south of town. Hopefully someone honest found them and will return them. I'll check back to see if they turned up.

It was pretty dark and stacked up over the sides. She thought it was secure and wasn't watching closely. The guys at FFO had tied it on with some cheap orange bailing twine. She's a single mother and can't really afford this kind of loss. Praying someone turns it in. Contacted the Lebonon and state police the night it happened to see if anyone turned them in. No luck so far.

I'm hoping she got these back but if not, if FFO tied them in, they are responsible. Have her go back and talk to them and they will be required to replace them through their insurance. Most businesses have stopped tying stuff in for people because of this.

My sky is colored "realistic blue". Sorry your's is "damper gray". There are honest people in this world who return stuff they find and admit they tied in furniture when customers left their store. My first call would be to FFO and speak to their manager. If they do not agree to file through their insurance, my next call would be to the county court house and file in small claims against them since they tied it in. Also, if the lady owns her own home, check her home owners policy. They pay for crazy stuff and it might accidentally be paid.(FYI: example: if your kids break something belonging to someone else, they cover stuff like that, too.)

If you find an abandoned box spring and mattress on the side of the road, take it somewhere to try and "return" it while blaming this place for improperly securing it to a vehicle, and then threaten them with a civil suit if they do not comply with your demands, please (and i cannot stress this enough) PLEASE, let me know how that works out for you.

I was wondering if they have made a police report, or if they called the police when this happened, so as to prove in court that it actually did happen instead of being some kind of scam.

called FFO. They offered to sell her a new set, so going with the small claims court. We had contacted the Lebanon and State Police the night it happened to see if anyone had reported finding them. No luck on that. Always hoping that there are honest people out there, I would have reported them to the police if I had found them. But it takes all kinds I guess.
