Why is sagging of the pants a popular trend?

Now i am a white as you can see from my picture. I wear the tall t-shirts, and the baggy jeans, and the flat bill caps. Why is the concept of this style so offensive?? I do wear a belt with my pants so they dont fall off, but i wear my pants off my hips because i dont want my crotch invaded by denim!!! I appologize for not being a redneck with the tight wrangler jeans showing off the seam in my jeans splitting my nut sack!!! And to correct all those who belive the prison rumor of the sagging pants, individuals who were offended by the saggy pants people made that up. Do you really think people would develop a style based on homosexual actions??? Now your thinking for yourself and not listening to incompetent morons!!!

If someone wants to wear gowns as shirts and sag their pants, then they can go ahead and do it. But if they're going to try and act "gangsta" while they do it, they need a heads up to let them know how ridiculas they look. Save the tight jeans arguement for another topic.

I've often wondered if those guys were ashamed of their small size and wanted to hide it. Why would you want to hide your butt? If you look at it, sagging pants is a trend just like any other. I sag my pants because it's comfortable, not to disrespect anybody. If you other people want to go around with skinny jeans on lookin' like a female tryin to "show off your figure" be my guest. I'll pass...

All I can think of when I see someone with their pants around their knees, is how hard we used to laugh at ourselfs in the mirrors at the fun house @ the fairs. And how much they remind me of those images.

like some of u already said everyone has different styles of clothing. personally i dont care if u wear your daddys pants, or if u wear skin tight jeans. But when the day of your job interview comes,
your going to come in walking with ur pants under ur butt, and another guy is going to come nicely, tucked in... now lets think, who do u think has the greater chance of getting the job?? or if u walk into a 5 star restaurant "saggin" with ur shirt all over the place... well you get the point. Personally i dont sag, but i dont have skin tight jeans, i dress professionally and fresh. Now "saggin" as i see it is loosing popularity, at my h.s. u dont see many teenagers sagging. ppl dont need to try and be "gangsta", why does that matter? u dont have to sag, or act all cool to be popular... and if u do u really need help.

This came to mind because I can't think of one reason why anybody would want their pants down to their knees. It seems very inconvenient because the people who wear their pants this way are always holding their pants up so they won't fall down (Also note: THEY HAVE A BELT. Why don't they use it??)
