As I look at this website I have to say it is truly disappointing to know that in 2012 there people with such an ignorant mentality. I realize KY isn't a state that prides its self on education, but it is amazing that there are this many uneducated, ignorant people still here. First off no one has the right to tell some one where they should or should not be. We haven't been a segregated country for decades now ( I know that upsets some of you) so he had the right to go party in Raywick, just like any white boy has the right to go to the cardinal den. I can't say it was the best decision taking the reputation the place has, however he was a 22 yr old young man and whether they are black or white all 22 yr old young men make bad choices. Does anyone know what actually happened? Until any one knows how can we say if it was self defense or some one being scared to get beat up? Point blank if he didn't pull a gun first him being shot was not warranted. It doesn't matter how much he "runs his mouth" or " starts stuff" if won't justify murdering them if that's the case the population would be low. What disgust me is the disregard for his family's feelings during these trying times. While it is horrible to disrespect the dead. HE'S NOT READING THIS! First I would like to say that David use to be a neighbor of mine when he was a kid. I saw him a while back at Dr. Ackermans office with I'm assuming was his girl friend and daughter. He seemed to be a supportive boyfriend/father.(Because it is rare to see young fathers in the office with their pregnant girlfriends.... let alone ones still continuing to go with them after the child is born. The couple seemed very happy and he was GREAT with the little girl. So anyone would have to give him credit for manning up and taking care of his kid and being their for the mother. Because lets face it supportive fathers are lacking in ALL skin colors and nationalities. Second of all.... it is a tragedy that a young man had to die no matter how it is looked at. If David was unarmed then hopefully our justice system fully punishes the person that shot him. If it was self defense and David did have a gun.... then we all need to learn from this tragedy..... Guns and alcohol don't mix!!!! And lastly.... I really think that this bar is actually enjoying all this fighting over racism. And I think they were waiting for the opportunity to shoot someone. I mean it is pretty much common sense that typically Raywick and Bradfordsville and Loretto all use to play country music and mainly white "country" or "biker"people hung our there. And Cardinals Den was always were the rap and R&B music was played and mainly black people and white people that dated black people hung out there.(And with saying that.... I am far from racist... I have CLOSE mixed family members, and also red neck/hillbilly family members as well)But alcohol fuels racism and brings out the worst in people and when you have two completley different races with completley lifestyles in the same building bad things are bound to happen. No one should be denied because of their color.... but if these establishments stuck to playing the music that they initially started out with then this would cut a lot of the fighting down..... Most black women/men don't want to hear country music.... and a large portion of white people don't like to hear rap and r&b. As sad as it sounds.... i think this bar kept playing music that would attract black people just for the opportunity for something bad to happen just so that they could say "i told ya so" and get away with it. So like I said discrimination or segregation should not occur any more.... I mean we all seem to get along at Walmart and grocery stores ok...... but when alcohol and other drugs get involved... we should all try to stick to the scene we are familiar with. That way trouble is avoided all together. I mean honestly what is so important about Raywick anyways.... I am white and married to a white man.... but have no desire to hang out or party there..... because of all the racist trouble makers that do go there....... Seriously let the @ssholes have it....
