J & L ????? Cheap tires no warranty. Get a nail in the sidewall or puncture that can not be repaired and you will see why I shop at Big O Tires.

Big O wanted to replace a bearing in my truck one time for $400. I took it to A Dodge dealer and it only cost me $150. J&L also does free rotation and balancing as well. That's why I go to them for tires, really how often do you use the road hazzard warranty anyway.

If your tire can be repaired though, J & L will patch it for $5. Big O charges $25.

I made the mistake by getting tires from Big O. They were convient at the time since J&L were booked up. I got them and they said that in like 3000 miles i could come back in & get them rotated for FREE. Actually i forgot & waited till about 4000 miles & went in there & asked for my free rotation. They acted like it was a big deal that they even had to do it & was frustrated they couldn't get more money out of me. i asked how much an alignment was and they said $50. i stopped by J&L & they said $18 tops. See, they are just waiting to rip you off. If you don't think J&L is the best place in town you are an idiot.
If you got money to throw away just give it to ME.

Also they do patch tires cheap. They have patched several tires for me and have asked 2 to 3 dollars at most. i usually give them a five dollar bill for doing it & i have to make them take it. I wouldn't even take a dirty tire off a car for 2 dollars. They are really GOOD guys.

yeh bump for J&L, Big O wrecked my buds expedition, told him to get a quote from a body shop, and when he brought it back, they denied ever telling him it was their fault and to go get a qoute for the damage.....they wrecked it right in front of him pulling out of the garage after changing his oil and him paying almost 800 for a set of tire....i wouldnt get a gumball out of their machine must less have them in my car working on it

I've used Big O when no other option was available for brakes and oil change but never bought tires there, they are way overpriced, they can say free warranty but with the price they charge for their tires theres nothing free about it. I'll stick to J&L, I could get two extra tires for the difference in cost and wouldn't need to worry about warranty.

get the facts correct. Most of the flats repaired are free at big o tires. Larger vehicle tires are $12.00

If you bought them at Big O yeah they MIGHT patch them for free. But since you overpaid in the first place then they really don't feel the need to get much more of your money.

I have purchased my tires at J&L for years. They are friendly and prompt. Their prices are fair and they provide better customer service then any other store in town. For oil changes I have found that the girls at clean as a whistle also provied excellent service.

I don't think the people at Big O aren't good. I've always been treated very professionally there and everyone is always friendly but that still doesn't justify me spending several hundred dollars more for a set of tires, has nothing to do with the people.

One time when i worked at MAC i stopped to help a women who was stranded on the side of the road with a flat tire. She didn't have any money and was sad because she couldn't get back home to etown. I took her and her tire to J&L and they gave her a new tire and didn't charge her a dime. James just said, "remember me when your passing by sometime." The difference between J&L and mainstream corporate trash like Big O Tires is Integrity, Honor, and Trust. It's like comparing steak to mechanically processed meat. Also I have been in trouble and J&L have opened up in the middle of the night to help me. Wal-mart might kill all the mom and pop shops in Lebanon but i doubt any tire place will ever take out J&L.

Well Jina, that is because your a lady and must be giving them some special treatment. I went to J&L one day right at closing time. They refused me service even after I offered to pay extra. All I needed was a tire changed. So dont talk about corporate trash, they are really no different.

sometimes they will turn you away if they are too busy but they can only do so much. They WILL take care of YOU. If they serviced everyone all the time they could never go home. plus it's only 3 guys.

The automotive indusrty is not a easy business to be in. This trashing of the local buisness, friend or foe is getting old. One day you might need one of local shop's. I have no problem with any of the two great shop's J&L or Big O. Freedom tire is another story but the do try.
