Here is a novel idea. How about blaming someone else besides the schools for the failures of your kids. Where does parenting fit into this picture? Maybe if parents would raise their children to have some values and some work ethic our schools wouldn't have to teach those things and everything else. You people have no idea how many parents around this community place no value whatsoever in education and that attitude spills over into kids behavior at school. Why not hold parents accountable? I'll tell you why, because you parents don't want to admit what the real problem is. The problem is YOU

you are so wrong there are so many teachers out there etc that can't teach or choose only to teach the certain kids it's been shown again and again there are some parents like the ones you talk of and then there are teachers like this also and for the most part the kids are with the teachers more than their parents, the kids hear how the teachers talk when no one is supposed to be listening but guess what the kids are listening at that time and if the parents listen then they will hear what their kids have to say and all the teachers don'
t teach those things they just pretend to do so in front of an audience you'd be surprised to hear what they really say.

Don't think you have any room to be critical of anybody based on your response. You belong back in the classroom as a student learning how to punctuate and not type run on sentences.

Well surprise us then. What are they really saying? Don't just accuse them of something without offering up some of their real conversations

in 1992 burchell was arested for a sex crime which was covered up by his grandfathers money. he has been arrested several times for theft he even got caught with stolen jetskies at green river. he was on probation for several years for this plus every one in bradfordsville keeps their doors locked when he is in town. he will not get fired because his mother is a retired teacher from mchs and his dad also works at the same maintanice shop at the school with him.. he actually helped him load the deer after he shot it.. what comes around goes around and i hope you go to prison this time

This issue goes much deeper than most realize. If you read The Lebanon Enterprise Police Log for Nov. 20th, it says that Sgt. Quent Cardwell reported that no gunshots were reported. Really? Gunshots were heard, that's why the police were called, that's why the student reported to their parents the incident, and that's why it was heard over the scanners.(in the opening post of this strand) Who is covering this up? The Superintendent? The BOE? or the Police Dept. It's down right scary to even consider that any one of these institutes would stoop so low. Welcome to Marion County...home of Turtleman and the Cornbread Mafia, oh and The Good Ole Boy clique.

Still working. Sickening after what happened yesterday. Especially with the statement Hamilton put out yesterday talking about how important the safety of our children is to him.

What the heck is an employee doing with a gun on school property? much less hunting for a deer.My child was uin the room and seen the truck that belomgs to the school system too.Why hasn't some type of action been taken aganist this person? Dr.Hamilton should haved FIRED him on the spot!I've been told that this person gets by with alot of things... Like taking recycle fron MCHS over the summer and getting money for himself. Why didn't the district take it since their cryibng no money? The board needs to do something about this issue b/c noone else isn't going too.Scoot Spalding should be FIRED for turning his head on this matter!Besides if a child had a gun they would have BEEN JAILED AND EXPELLED from school! Its time we hold these ppl to the same standards as our children! Its a FELON to have a gun so many yards from schools.
Mr. Burchell was let go. In regards to the recycling, the entire maintenance department was in on that - including Mr. Spalding, the story surrounding this is hideous. No one would have found out but boys will be boys and..........one of them tried to pocket the money (greed will get you every time) and not share with the others (which is what was agreed upon) and all hell broke loose! They ratted one another out. Action should have been taken starting at the top with the supervisor (he is the supervisor and should have been held accountable for his crime, although this is not the first crime Mr. Spalding committed, in the other incident someone else got fired as well - once again letting him slide. He's like a white castle burger - a slider - with a big stink surrounding him!!!

Today's Lebanon Enterprise says that the BOE is still investigating the situation. I certainly hope so. It's appalling that someone from LMS reported hearing a shot, but the police log in last week's Enterprise said, no shot was heard. And here's a good one on our police dept. and their desire to keep our students safe. LMS called and reported hearing a gun shot. The police went to Teledyne. Really? That's scary, especially in light of last Friday' tragedy in CT. The general public needs to be in on this and asking questions. Our concerns should not be about what happens to personnel, but exactly how well are we protecting our students?
