DON"T go to All Paws. Our dog cowled for wks after staying afew days. We've been going to Town & Counrty on Danville Hwy. for 5 yrs & they treat them like their own. Cooks I hear is good also. I would be afraid if it were an Emer. & have to drive very far.

All paws made me go get $80.00 cash at 7:00 in the morning before she would put my dog down. He was suffering on her table and she said she had to have cash ONLY. By 7:15 she is calling my wife demanding to know where I am with her money, and that she wasn't going to leave this dog on her table all day. I was able to get a check cashed and brought this BIT-- her money by 7:30 so my dog could be euthanized to end his suffering. NEVER again would I use or suggest a person with such little disregard for an animal. Good thing she didn't become a people doctor!

I've taken my animals to All Paws for many years. Dr StGermain is very good with the animals. She saved my cat's life a couple months ago. She truly cares for the animals.

No need to bad mouth anyone. Take your pet where ever YOU want to. Just make sure you take care of them *properly*.

thats sad.town and country will give you time with your animal, when they have to put them down.and we have a choc. lab,he hasa bad hip, they always take good care of him.when he needs his meds,i just run out there and no waiting for them.i have never used al paws,so i can't say anything about them.i have heard some things.

You must be one of a few personal friends. I was responding to a question with a personal experience with this vet.

I don't have experience with any other vets in this state. But I've lived in other states and dealt with other vets over the years. So, I am responding with my personal experiences as well.

I can tell when someone truly cares about the animals like she does. She has always been straight forward with me when I've brought my animals in. I've had to have one dog and one cat put down in the last year. She never rushed my last moments with either of them.

Like I said before. Bring your (general you, not specific) animals to who ever you feel comfortable with. But the name calling in previous posts (not saying it was you ..who ever I quoted above) is just uncalled for.

I've used Dr. Cook for years, but I have used Town and Country on occassion as well. Both are really good places. My mother switched to All Paws for a short time, but went back to Dr. Cook, was much happier with his services.

All Paws has done a lot of charity work that no one will ever know about. Dr. St. Germaine is excellent, and she once boarded five cats for a newly homeless person, basically for free. And for a long time. I will always respect her for that. We have a lot of good vets, but please think twice before posting negative things about Dr. St. Germaine. To a lot of animals, she really is a "saint" - just like her name says.

dr.west at cook animal hospital goes above & beyond when it comes to the care of an animal! she once she spend hour trying to bring a dog back to life. she doesn't give up easily & treats every animal as if they were her own pets. she owns more animals herself then most vets see in a week(about 45-50)she always tell people what they need to know about there pets to keep them healthly not just what they want to hear. she is very blunt & honest! wish more people docs where that way!

I didn't think they were even open at 7AM. It must have been a real emergency for it to have been done 2-3 hours before normal business hours.

Yes it was, called ahead and she opened up. I stated the facts for the person who asked whom to stay away from. Get over it.
