Plan ahead for voluntary time off and an extended holiday shutdown. TMMI and TMMK announced that they will extend their holiday shutdowns. Steve Wheatley announced last night to third shift t/ms and Charles Grider is doing the same on day shift. This time off will be unpaid, assuming t/ms has no remaining PPL time.

Actually it's not true. Although there is some talk to adding 2 days to the Christmas shut down. But as of today, when I got off work, nothing for either holiday has changed. Thanksgiving hasn't changed.

layoffs are coming soon, toyota has layed off most of their temps. they have cut production from 260 cars a day to 60. they are not pulling many parts this month and next few months are no more promising, so be prepared.

I don't work at TG, but I do work for a Toyota Affiliate. I heard that we will get 2 weeks christmas shutdown. Normal vacation time for the Xmas holiday, except for the first two days and maybe the last day. Once again though this is all rumors and speculation. No official word.

2 extra days of Xmas break. Use PPL, use PPL you have coming to you in January, go without pay and no points or with manager approval and a legit reason you can work.

People why not quit speculating and post only the facts.

I thank God there is still a job. YOu should too.

Not true. I work at toyota and have for over 10 years. We are still making over 800 cars a day.
