Would you let your kids listen to the soviet national anthem?

Would you parents be upset if you found out that your kids was listening to russian(soviet) national anthem.

Learning about other countries has a depth of benefit to it that most non educated people will never understand. It’s called ‘culture’ and as we learn about others society’s we can better improve ours, or see in advance that certain things are better not to be attempted if it fails elsewhere. How else are we to make friends and allies of nations once hostile toward us, and we them?

My fellow peers in high school ridicued me for reading non fiction books about different cultures,milltary battles,and other historcal events.

I just can't understand why people would get so upset because someone didn't chose to conform to there ideas when the anwser is just a simple one and it's called choice and not freedom of choice that goverment gives you,but the freedom of the choice that the higher power implanted in your gentic matrix the day you was born.

I’m not a religious person by any means, and it really doesn’t matter if one is, or is not a member of any such belief systems. Religions have come and gone for millennia, take for example Islam… theirs has been around for so long that they’ve actually murdered off all but two branches of it, the Shiites and the Sunnis, and even they want to kill each other off. For the same reasons governments have come and gone over the same period of time and most likely even longer. There are so many branches of this countries ‘mainstream religions’ and they are “all” adapted from another nation and peoples belief systems because we still do not know who we are as a people, or who we are not.

Freedom of choice in any manner comes from within and no one has the right to take it away, and as far as peers… that’s why the stigma of pressure is added to the all too common usage of the phrase ’peer pressure’, and that only really exists if you allow it. As a free thinker, world traveler, combat veteran and studier of foreign ancient and current cultures I could care less what people around me think period!
For all of their concerns, bullying and lack of experience“?”, not a single one of these type of people have ever offered anything concrete, valuable or important to my life… I did that, and anyone who has ever attempted to sway me in any direction… I soon washed my hands of them and it was immediately no longer a concern.
However… if these things bother you, then maybe, or not… you might want to consider the same. This is just a suggestion of course, but then again we were all like that of any creature in the natural world, born to make our own way in life whether our decisions are bad or good.

It is only in the last few thousand years that we have saddled ourselves with how, what and why we allow other people to have input into what we make of ourselves or choose to believe in. I’ve taken the risks, the losses and the benefits to heart as to my own decisions and there outcomes, and still choose to do the same, and likely always will. Other people that have chosen to get in the way of that precious freedom will in all likelihood be cast aside in the same manner, and I make no apologies for that, or to them… it’s not their life, but “mine”, so pfft! To Them!

Only by understanding others can we truly understand ourselves and ’anyone’ who does not like it only has words, and it’s up to me to allow them to have power over my choices or not, and I choose not! There will always be a certain measure of people who will disagree with you, and most times it’s not for “your” benefit but their selfish goals and stubbornness of self importance.
In the end it is still up to us… the individual to take part in this guilty or not guilty part of society that civilization has cornered us into believing in, and to “ME”… that’s what ‘life’… is all about!

so!... read and study on and don't allow the balance of others ignorance, fear or their own personal restrictions deter you. Life is too precious a thing to waste on such matters, and if there is this all seeing, knowing and mighty power above?… I’m sure that “IT” will understand deal with you in kind. After all… how could anything that is ‘titled’ as the creator such beauty, differences and wonderment be so cruel as to not allow us all to make mistakes and NOT be forgiving for it?
