Yes I did! Went to my voting place after work and to my surprise, it was busy but no lines. Polls are closed now so I hope everybody got their vote in! If you don't vote, can't gripe.:)

"....If you don't vote, can't gripe.:)" Not true at all. No where in our Constitution or the Bill or Rights is it required for anyone to cast a vote before they can exercise the Free Speech. With that being said, I do believe that one's "gripe" will not carry as much weight if they do not participate in the electoral process.

Just a thought.

I guess I should have made myself more clear, if you don't vote you can gripe all you want. Your gripes aren't heard because you didn't vote.

I doubt any of our earlier settlers for this great nation ever missed a voting opportunity. When the constitutiom was composed, it was written so we had the right to vote.

Thank you for clarifying that T Nick.:)

The statement that you can't gripe was a figure of speech, not a threat against your 1st amendment rights.

I actually did not vote on any polititicians this evening. I only voted on the 1 question.

BTW, I am not a politician. They tell you what you want to hear, then differ from what they said. What I am concerned about is the sales tax versus personal proprty tax.

The sales tax versus personal property tax. That is the real issue for those who are planning to spend a long time in JC.

Did I gripe no,did I vote no,why there is nobody worth voting for or if I did vote they would do whatever they were told to by the politicians and special interest groups anyway. Now donot get me wrong there are some officials around here who will not put up with it,they don't last long because of the pressure, and who can blame them its a buddy system anyway. For example lower taxes in montgomery county will never happen, you buy a house without the realtor lying about the true nature of a crap hole it is. No truth or honesty around here,if you find it good luck.

I voted from Afghanistan. I see soldiers, Airmen, Marines and Sailors everyday that I work with, who are placing the needs of the country in front of their and their familyís needs and desires. One person I saw on the Ballot voted for the Health Care bill and I thought if nothing else, that was reason enough to vote. Driving past the Veterans Memorial should be reminder enough why we should vote. The price of Freedom has been paid in the past and is being paid now. Please donít let the sacrifices of these men and women be for nothing.

I always vote. It matters to me as it seems to be my only real voice, so I do my very best to stay informed.

To those that had ballot issue questions to vote on, remember those are local issues. There wasn't a statewide ballot initiative in this election.

agreed. voting is almost a total scam in this country now. it's only in place to make you think you have a choice where none exist. left wing, right wing, gop, libs - they are all controlled by the same master. and if you think voting against taxes does any good - well dont worry, they'll figure out a way to get your money. vote or no vote.

Went in around 4:30. Not many, but a few people were in the 12th Street Center. I'm not supprised at the Sales tax vote. I am supprised at the low turn out for the vote. What was is, around 2500 total voters?

Thank you founding fathers for my right to vote, thanks to the service members, past and present, for defending it.

Yes I voted and took a new strategy I didn't vote for anyone currently in office except Forrest Knox and I like him.
