How is it that Johnson County needs a sales tax increase of half a cent when it just got done giving away a quarter of a cent sales tax to local school districts? Funding the schools is not a County responsibility so this must have been money they didn't really need in the first place. Does someone know what is going on here?

It's called pork, any and all goverments feel the internal need and external pressure to provide more and more stuff that may or may not be needed.
