She should hold the bank responsible for not asking questions. I can not go to the bank and get money without getting the 3rd degree!

she probably knew the person at the other bank and had it all set up to get done quickly. they target older people because they are kind and trusting. also because they normally don't have much of a balance on their credit cards and they could get a large cash advance. if they stole mine they couldn't get $50.

The bank employee who gave the slob the $3000 should be fired immediately.

I've been a customer with the same bank for at least five years and I have to send my driver's license in with EVERY transaction. I don't understand why the teller at the victim's bank didn't ask for a photo ID. The bank should return the victim's $3000 and she should take her business elsewhere. Unless the thief leaves the country, the cops won't have any trouble catching her, I'm sure they have cuffs big enough to fit her.

Interestingly, they might even be tied as most Mexicans that have been here for multiple generations declare themselves "white". The BJS reports them based on what they claim.

Guess it depends on where you bank. I used to bank at a place that had someone with the same name as me banking there as well. This other person would go in and make withdrawls out of my account. This continued to happen, even after there was a warning message to check ID on any withdrawl to my account & verify home addresses before giving money out. I finally closed my account since they couldn't figure out to stop giving my money to someone else with the same name. Point is, some banks don't care. I don't know how $3,000 wouldn't be a red flag to someone to check an ID at the very least.

Plea to law enforcement: If she's caught, will you sentence her to about 4 months community service? Winter is approaching, and I could use her in the back of my pick-up for better snow traction.

Thanks guys.

...or choke on a Big Mac. What do you think, she eats a quarter of her weight per day? I would run her over with my truck but I'm afraid she might win.
