When people read and watch the news, it seems like there are so Many stories about troubled times and bad things happening. In the Bible Job said that he was "drenched with misery." Job 10:15. Many people wonder is this God's purpose for mankind. What do you think? Is there any hope that we will ever see peace on the earth?

Not while man rules the earth. When Christ returns to set up His kingdom, then we will see true peace on this earth.

I agree with you that only Jesus Christ can bring peace to the earth. Psalms 37:10, 11 says:" And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of PEACE." Let me ask you this----Do you think it will come in our life time?

Yes I do. Jesus said "I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go, I will return and recieve you to myself, that where I am, there you may be also." Jesus promised to return for His followers. I believe if He said it, then it will happen.

I think that with the way things are going in the world it is possible. We are so very close to the one world government spoken about in Revelations and Daniel, and the description of the Veri-chip is eerily similar to the description of the mark of the beast from Revelation.
Jesus said that no man can know the day or hour of His return, but we can know the seasons and signs of the times, be prepared, and warn others. If people would really read Revelations, Daniel, and Thessalonians they would see the correlation between the bible and the headlines of today.

I agree, the new world order is in place. Everything the Bible talks about, has happened, or is happening now. Jesus return is literal! It's fact!

I believe the parable of the fruit tree refers to Israel. Israel became a nation again in May 1948. No man knows the day or hour, but we know we are very close. Keep your eye on what is happening in Israel, it will all line up with the Bible , and where we stand in time.

A lot of people look to man-made governments to solve our problems even though the Bible does not promote this. Jer. 10:23 says:"I well know, O Jehovah, that to earthling man his way does not belong. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step." God did not authorize his human creation to chart its own path independent from God.

I agree that Daniel and Revelation have plenty to say about government. It's exciting and one of my favorite scriptures is in Daniel. Dan. 2:44 shows that God has a government that is going to do away with all other forms of government and establish itself with Jesus Christ as king. God's kingdom (government) is what will solve mankinds problems. Is that a new thought to you or have you also read this in your Bible?

Some 2,500 years after Adam’s creation, God extended to certain humans the privilege of having a special relationship with Him. He chose ancient Israel to be his people and gave them his Law.(Genesis 12:1, 2) He formed them into a nation and used them in connection with his purpose.(Deuteronomy 14:1, 2; Isaiah 43:1) However, they were still in bondage to sin and death, so they did not enjoy the glorious freedom that Adam and Eve originally had. Nevertheless, the Israelites had a favored standing with God. They also had the responsibility to respect Jehovah as their Father and to work in harmony with his purpose. Jesus stressed the importance of their fulfilling that obligation.(Matthew 5:43-48) However, the nation of Israel failed to do this. While those Jews claimed “we have one Father, God,” Jesus declared that their actions and the spirit they showed belied such a claim.(John 8:41, 44, 47) In 33 C.E., the Law was terminated by God, and Israel’s special relationship with him ended. But did this mean that people could never enjoy a favorable relationship with God?

I agree that turning to God and praying to him is important in order to have a relationship with him. As far as things getting bad, the Bible is clear that in the Last Days Critical times hard to deal with will be here. The positive side to all this is that better times are coming soon. Luke 21:31-32:"When you see these things occurring, know that the kingdom of God is near."

You are right. Looks like the rapture may happen within the lifetime of people alive when Israel became a nation.

The destruction of this ungodly system is imminent. I have to disagree with the rapture part though. The "earth abideth forever." Proverbs 2:21,22 says "for the upright are the ones that will reside that reside in the earth, and the blameless are the ones that will be LEFT OVER in it. As regard the WICKED, they will be CUT OFF from the very EARTH; and as for the treacherous they will be TORN away from it.

sorry i forgot to reference where the "earth abideth forever is" Ecclesiastes 1:4

I may be spelling "abideth" wrong, could not lay my hands on my King James version, but you get the point.
