Corrections Officer Accused of Kissing Inmate - KTVI

St. Francois County Sheriff Dan Bullock told the Park Hills Daily Journal that the woman was escorted off the property of Eastern Reception Diagnostic Correctional Center in Bonne Terre last week in handcuffs.

I don't think that the officer should be charged with a sex crime unless she forced herslf on the inmate, or the inmate was a minor. However, I do think that she needs to lose her job over this. I think the department needs to look into how often this actually happens.

I worked there for awhile, it happens a lot more than you think.

yeah she should just lose her job, but this is St Francis county and they are all for blood and money. Wow, Im surprised the way woman are now days this isn't appearing all over the country.

I work there, it is being covered up left and right this lady had made them mad in the past for some of the administations indiscretions at work unless you are one of their buddies, or a friend they have you resign and let you go on your merry way. yes she should lose her job, be prosecuted and have to register for life on this she jeopordize other officers, while she was doing her little thing with him she didnt have the backs of fellow officers that could of at any minute needed her, its a level 5 camp we execute there!!!!! she makes the rest of the female officers look bad if it was a male officer yes it is sexual discrimination they get transferred to other camps. a majority of are upper staff/administration have been transferred for these reasons.

she deserves to be prosecuted just like all the others neede to be, this is just another blackeye on our profession that is already a thankless job, there have been others in the past that should have been prosecuted and probably would have been if not for past indiscretions with higher ranking staff, the taxpayers of the state of missouri are not getting what they are paying for here and it is time this place was investigated and major changes take place.

I know a couple of people who work there, and I know alot of what happens. CO's are having sex with each other on the grounds, let alone with the prisoners. The CO's get on a power kick and take advantage of every situation possible. However, I think that there are other stronger violations made by CO's that need to be addressed.

the only stronger violation there could be would be bringing weapons to an offender so he could injure or kill one of us, but yes there is definitely some serious issues that need to be addressed at this place and remedied before the entire state department of corrections ends up looking like a bunch of incompetent boobs, if its not already to late, so contact your senators, reps or governor and tell them if they want reelected to clean this crap up!

It doesnt just happen at Bonne Terre it is at EVERY prison. Some with inmates, some with Staff.
It is the same sh*t different day!!

Someone is doing someone!!! It sucks but until they place a moral clause in the contracts of the employees it will continue!!

There is a moral clause. But really how does that effect the life on the outside. This is certainly a step in the right direction of addressing staff/offender sexual misconduct.

IF she is guilty, I hope she gets prison time. This probation crap has got to go!

How about a moral code everywhere? That seems to be gone these days. Sex with inmates is a very good way to get std's.

I agree!! The Moral clause is supposed to be enforced, however it isnt. It basically means you have to report if your sleeping with a supervisor, not a co-worker, inmate, or other. I think if they made it more clear and kinda the way the Military takes it, it would cut down on it. But in 17 yrs of DOC experience, 80% of employees cheat.

The corruption has already been taken to Jeff City. And so far no changes.
