How can she say Leachville is progressing? Just drive behind the furniture store & look. I'm scared to even eat at the Mexican restaurant because the whole area has to be infested with rats. Did she run to better our town or to get her son a job? The only thing she's good at is driving around smoking. Can only hope someone with some sense will run against her so we can get her out of office.

A reply to the person in Texas, Maybe you should return to Texas if you don't like it here. Rats-call the health department if you can prove they're there. Driving around--how else is the Mayor going to see what needs to be done in the city. Time--there are laws and procedures for a city to get people to clean things up, sometimes it takes a year and a half to do all the correct steps. Maybe you need to walk in her shoes for a day and see how much you could do---legally. If all the citizens of Leachville kept their homes and businesses clean of weeds, old cars, trash, etc., it would be a cleaner place to live. If all the businesses and homes kept their sidewalks clear, weeds pulled or mowed, ditches clear of limbs and trash, there would be no need for driving around. Leachville citizens should take care of their own property before pointing fingers at others and be proud to live in a community with clean water, sewer, good schools, good stores, choice of religion because so many do not have these things.

lol! The only way to clean up Leachville is to bulldoze it down with most of the pitful people in it and start all over!

Why don't you quit running your mouth and volunteer your time and energy and clean the town up? By the way, why don't you run against her? oh never mind, you did say someone with some sense.

I think the best way to clean a city like Leachville, is to start with the city officals that think being elected to a office gives them the right to do as they want to, with no concern for the people that elected them. I also think our city needs a no hire policy when it comes to more than one family member elected or hired working for the city. How about it ? DOES ANYONE ELSE FEEL THIS WAY ?

I am so sick of everyone downing our city! If everyone did their part to make it an even BETTER place to live instead of running thier mouth on here, what a wonderful thing that would be!

As for the mess around the furiture store....why is that the Mayor's main job! WHO made the mess? Why is it taking him so long to clean it up? He has been asked and now there needs to be fines to go out to him!

Do your part and stop the gripping! Or find another place to live! I'm sure they have all the same problems as any other town....people who won't do their share and gripe about every little thing!!!

The mess behind the robertsons store is understandable if you have ever seen what a piled up mess rodneys desk is. It shows you that he just dont care how it looks. If he cared he would have never let it get that bad to start with. Surely he can afford to rent a dumpster dont you think?

I think the city officials do not need to be telling the citizens how to maintain their property as long as a big buisness like robertsons uses there property for a dump. If you go to the county land field and look you cant really tell much difference in the two. other businesses have dumpsters for trash so why cant robertsons get one as well and use them?

You would think as much card board boxes and such as robertsons furniture deals with that they would get a card board bailer such as the ones farmers market has and bail all that card board and sell it.Thats just my thaught, but makes sense to me anyway.

I was in town the other day and I ask who the mayor was I was shocked. We were in a cafe and they pointed her out she was dressed like a slob. Now I understand the reasoning behind the town being run down. Even one of the police officer's was dressed in sweat pants and the other guy was dressed nice but no uniform. Just saying... Lead by example...

Leading by example doesn't mean having to wear the most expensive clothes, live in the most expensive home, drive the most expensive car...catch my drift? What it does mean is being real to the people you work for and with. Doing the right thing....obviously something you know nothing about. Come in and judge our officials by how the citizens are treated by them. Find out who these people are before you criticize the least important aspect of their job...You might even learn a thing or two about being a better person!

The officer in sweat pants was off duty.....I guess u expect them to wear uniforms 24/7. As to the ofc. dressed nicely, they r having problems with the company that they are CONTRCTED to supply their uniforms, as is trying to be solved without costing the citizens. I know, I know, that's stupid how dare they do that. And your right about the mayor. How dare her dress in normal clothes, she needs to spend some of that $100,000 salary she gets and buy some designer clothes, or hell better yet use your money and buy a new wardrobde. People want to bitch and complain, but don't want to do anything about it. They want want u to just snap your finger and things just happen. Like someone said ealier there are laws and procedures that must be followed, PERIOD! Let them just come and tell u what u must do, and then do it cause you didn't. You can tell those who care about this town, because they are out there doing what they can to HELP to correct things. Then u can tell about the ones who don't, cause they sit on their lazy asses and talk about it on topix!! JUST SAYING!!!!!!!
