Paul Ryan Medicare plan

Before you make up your mind about Paul Ryan's budget. Research his beliefs. They will NOT agree will your belief. If his plan would ever be passed, most Americans would go bankrupt in their retirement. His plan suggests that retired Americans get $15,000.00/year in vouchers (to help with premiums) to find an insurance company that would cover them (good luck). After the $15,000 is used up....GOOD LUCK. If you think that is a lot of money; it is estimated it would only cover about 30% of the premium if you could get coverage. Do you agree?????

i understand your point but the usa is broke like omba says take a pain pill and we all be with the crack heads

When Michael Steele, head of RNC, was asked "What will happen to the people when the $15,000.00 runs out and it will be very soon into the year?". He said they have figured that out yet. How much more trouble do you think the USA would be in? Keep in mind, even the people with $ won't beable to buy insurance and one big claim will wipe them out. There will be NO government help. For profit insurance companies would not want to cover older/sick people, claims would be too high. Even Paul Ryan said Medicare and Medicaid is run MORE efficiently than private insurance. More and more people feel that there should be a public option (expand Medicare). It would have limits but NO profit; affordable for everyone. Small businesses would be able to hire qualified people and offer a 401k. The right way to go.

Sorry - they have NOT figured it out yet.
Paul Ryan, the guy who wants to do away with Medicare/Social Security as we know it, went to college on Social Security Survivor benefits while people with two parents borrowed the money. To my knowledge, he has not paid the money back. Don't you feel with his ideals that would be the right thing to do?(with interest as others paid).

Wyden-Ryan Medicare Proposal Has White House 'Concerned'
"We are concerned that Wyden-Ryan, like Congressman Ryan’s earlier proposal, would undermine, rather than strengthen, Medicare," said White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer. "The Wyden-Ryan scheme could, over time, cause the traditional Medicare program to “wither on the vine” because it would raise premiums, forcing many seniors to leave traditional Medicare and join private plans. And it would shift costs from the government to seniors. At the end of the day, this plan would end Medicare as we know it for millions of seniors. Wyden-Ryan is the wrong way to reform Medicare."
Heard Paul Ryan say tonight in news interview that he has NOT stepped away from his original plan, just added a "For Profit" option.
This man CANNOT be trusted. This will screw over millions of seniors while the top 1% gets richer. He needs to be sent home and work for the 1% in the private sector.

Keep in mind: Without Medicare we are all one catastophic event (cancer diagnosis or heart condition) away from bankruptcy. "For Profit" cannot have high profits if they cover sick people and pay claims, FACT. You could be the sick person!
Do you think Paul Ryan will care then? No, he will probably be a lobbyist for the healthcare industry. His family will be taken care of.
Anything turned over to "For Profit" is abused at taxpayer's expense:
WallStreet without regs.
EPA without regs.

Social Security, Medicare report card on tap
Read article, very interesting.
Why is Paul Ryan going after two programs that support people at a vunerable age "old age". Why not cut all support for pregnancy and children while he is at it.
Seems to me if the good paying Middle Class jobs had NOT been sent overseas (starting in the 80's - Garan for instance - huge profits for the 1%); these two programs would be solvent today.
Read somewhere that Paul Ryan was able to go to college because he received SS benfits after his father's death. What about the students who borrowed the money with interest who had two parents? Why has Paul Ryan NOT paid the money back with interest? If he did, maybe I would have some respect for him; as it stands now - none. If this is not true, I would certainly like to hear it from him on the news, rather than all his plans to turn over Medicare to For Profit (with future premiums out of reach for most Americans and no regs) and SS to Wallstreet (no regs).

GOP Budget Plan Promises To Repeal Obamacare, Cuts Medicaid
Paul Ryan is talking about spending cuts, let's start with Congress:
1. Cut back on salaries
2. Cut out Retirement
3. Cut taxpayer paid healthcare premiums
4. Cut taxpayer paid perks
5. Cut vacation pay to one week a year
6. Ban Congress people from becoming Lobbyist
7. and the big one "term limits"!
And let's see if Paul Ryan is still smiling.
Why would anyone want to support someone who is out to get them?

Paul Ryan Health Care Cuts Would Increase Number Of Uninsured By Millions
Let's cut his insurance coverage see if he has the same budget ideas.
With the amount of money taxpayers pay Congress, they should be paying 100% of their own health insurance premiums, right?
Paul Ryan is representing the healthcare industry (contributes to his campaign).
If everyone is covered and more people are paying into the reserve, premium costs would go down for all. IS THAT THE REAL ISSUE for Paul Ryan and his 1% backers? Lower profits? Keep in mind, Obamacares:
1. you cannot be kicked off of the plan when you are sick (when you most need the coverage).
2. you cannot be denied coverage because of a pre-existing condition.
3. children stay on plan until age 26.
4. Insurance companies CANNOT use more than 20% of the premium for Administrative costs (80% goes to benefits or returned to policyholders - NOT bonuses to Ins. Mgmt.).
When people receive healthcare throughout their life, Medicar costs go down. We can no longer afford to keep people alive without a quality of live. We need to let people die with dignity. That is what God would want!
You would think as a Catholic, Paul Ryan would have a compassionate heart, but seems like his pumps GREEN blood.

I just dont know which would be better,Paul Ryans idea or Obamacare.I guess the only way to find out what is really in Obamacare is to read it myself, there are 1,147,271 words or 5431 pages,i will get back to you in about 1 year after i read it and let you know my thoughts..

You do that!
The sad reason it is so large is because there are TOO MANY lawyers in Washington! Hell, there are too many lawyers, period. They are NOT there to do the right thing, but to win for their side (the ones that give them MONEY!).
It is really funny how PAUL RYAN has NOT denouced his TAXPAYER PAID health insurance coverage as a product of BIG GOV'T OVERREACH into his personal life. But, he is so willing to take it away from a poor person! One sick SOB.
If cutting Medicare is such a GREAT idea, lets do it NOW!!!!!!!!!! Why wait????????? Because the more people the cuts affect, the fewer that will support the cuts. The man is EVIL; not stupid. He is playing a game.
Paul Ryan, like a lot of others, have been in Washington too long! Out of touch with civil society. It is about people, not only profits!
TERM LIMITS FOR CONGRESS! They should serve the people (two terms) and get out before they start serving themselves!!!!! NO TAXPAYER PAID BENEFITS, PERKS NOR RETIREMENT. Those are the cuts we should start with!

Paul Krugman: Paul Ryan's Budget Plan 'Has Gotten Even Crueler'
"Nothing has changed, except that the plan has gotten even crueler,” Krugman wrote.
The House Budget Committee chairman's newest plan calls for balancing the budget over the next 10 years by repealing Obamacare and making cuts to social safety net programs like Medicare and Medicaid.
Andrew Fieldhouse, an analyst at the Economic Policy Institute, a progressive think tank, estimates that the plan would cost the country 2 million jobs in 2014 alone.
CAN WE REALLY afford to lose even more jobs. Could one of those lost jobs be your job?
Obamacare seems to be in line with the PROMISE ST. Ronald Reagan made all those years ago. Why are they so against it? Could it be that they want to work you to death? All you so called "Christians", we are talking about the working poor.
You are so against abortion but NOT in favor of affordable healthcare for all. What religion do you follow again?

Is Paul Ryan the Present Day "Marie Antoinette"?
Let the poor hungry eat cake? Give the spoils/power to the 1%?
If you read his budget plan, it sure seems so!
Didn't the 99% cut her head off?
#16 Mar 15, 2013
It is always hard to understand a politician, who is paid by the US taxpayer, wanting to take the US taxpayer to the woodshed.
Again, shouldn't the cuts start with:
1. Congressional term limits?
2. Cut salaries?
3. Cut benefits such as taxpayer paid healthcare and retirement?
4. Cut perks?
Paul Ryan wants to cut it for hardworking Americans; why NOT START with him?

Heard on the news this morning that Paul Ryan's budget calls for Obamacare to be repealed (benefits only); but to balance his budget, he kept the savings Obamacares would generate.
If you repeal Obamacare costs, so would go the savings!
Still having issues with math I see!
