Just wondering if you had a 15 old daughter or son would you allow his are her boyfriend/girlfriend to sleepover in the same room? Now would you allow this if the child was gay, and there boyfriend / girlfriend were sleeping over?? Are is there a double standard??

i totally agree with you. My daughter goes to school with a 15 yr old who brags on how her mom allows her girlfriend to sleepover on weekends. I told my daughter well dont get any ideas because not under my roof. Just cant understand how parent would allow this.

I know too many parents who allow their kids to have those types of sleepovers. These kids have plenty of time to have that experience. When the kids come up pregnant, the finger pointing begins.

Bottom line, it is inappropriate at the high school level. Gay or straight. Parents who allow such behavior generally keep the bar rather low for their kids. Parents need to start holding kids accountable for coming up short with expectations.

You mean as a teenager you never slept at a friends house or a friend at your house???

If read the statement again nothing was said about normal sleepovers. What was said was gay or straight ( gay lovers together or straight lovers together) not being acceptable or appropriate for 15 yr old's or High school students. If you want to let your kids play house under your roof, don't cry when they become pregnant or catch an STD! I truly believe kids or trying and being allowed to grow up way too fast. Let them enjoy there teen yrs. Teen pregnancy is way to glamorized! But the harsh reality is there life becomes changed completely and end up with too many regrets.
