Christmas Jane Doe 12/26/1983 Interstate 95

On 12/26/1983 a childs remains were found behind the rest area off of int. 95 on the Northampton County side. The rmains were found by a rabbit hunter. Sheriff Bob Corry of Northamton County collected the Remains and they were sent to UNC Chapel hill. The female has been dubed as Christmas Jane Doe by many of us looking to ID her.
She was a African American female age 4-8 years old, she had filling in her mouth on tooth #4 #29. This child may of have suffered from cronic ear infections.Her DNA was sent to Texas and submitted into CODIS with no hits. The childs had been dead for at least 1 year or longer.
Someone loved this child, someone is still looking for her.

It would be very helpful in helping trigger someone's memory if we knew what the child was wearing and the colors of each article.
Her height and approx. weight.
If she was 6-8 years old she should have been in a school somewhere.

She was found with no clothes. Her age was 4-8 years old. They could not establish high and weight because there was not enough bones to establish.The child had been left out in the elements for 1 year or longer. If you think you may know a missing child from your area please email me.
