This historic college has so much potential. I am looking forward to the continued progress of this institute of learning under the direction of Dr. Satcher. Keep pushing, Dr. Satcher and SPC.

This is a joke. I cannot believe Dr. Satcher nor the comment from the person from Lanham, MD. This school has so much violence going on that the folks in the town want it shut down. Many kids have already left because of the violence that goes on there. Please talk with the students who are already there before you put your kid even considers going there. The school is very poorly kept also.

I stand by my comment. You say students "have already left because of the violence". I say students are being dismissed because they are causing disruption to the education process. Dr. Satcher, the faculty and other students should make a strong effort to escort troublemakers off of the campus and out of the town. I'm willing to support any and all efforts to educate young people. Are you?

I am behind educating, counseling and being a role model myself for all young people. I even wrote and suggested being part of a group of parents who would help clean up the school and to date - never received a response. My advice to parents and studets interested in attending there - is to go visit the school: "What you see is what you get."

who are you, borninva? Do you work at the school or do you attend this school? I am very concerned about sending my child there.

I'm just a regular citizen (not working or attendig school at SPC) that has watched the developments at SPC. I have also spoken to successful students and unsuccessful students at SPC. College is what you make it...no matter where you go.
