Boy, this sure brings back memories of the "50's" How fun to go back & see a big part of our growing up. Thanks for sharing!

It was a sad day for sure when the Spot was torn down....why couldn't they have turned it into a museum; or fixed up for homecoming events?? Hardees couldn't hold a candle to the Spot - I remember seeing a few sitting at Hardees and there would be a line down at the Spot of folks waiting to get in. They had to get their "Martha" fix of the day :)

When did they tear it down and why? I used to sit in the Spot and shoot the breeze for hours with Martha and another lady that worked there about 1981/1982. I worked for Art Buchanan south of town and often ate lunch or dinner in there. I now live in Montana and havent gotten back there in so long. Sad Thing !

I cant remember when they tore it down.Been awhile ago.I think it had something to do with the Hardees that was built to the east of it

It is good to see pictures from home. I grew up in St.F. but also had friends in L'ville. Alot of things have changed in both cities.
Tell me when this thread is updated!
