Since the news of his arrest, it has come to my attention that there are a LOT of folks needing to "recover" from Carmine. I have started a Google Group for people to discuss their experiences with Carmine: http://groups.google.com/group/carmine-recove...

You can also join the group via email, posts are sent to carmine-recovery@googlegroups. com after you join.

This is a closed group, only those who've been involved with Carmine directly are eligible to join. It's not for cops or investigators, not for folks just following the soap opera, but for people who knew him who need to talk about it.

I know a lot of the victims myself. If I don't know you, you'll have to email me and explain who you are, how you knew Carmine, and why you want to join. Anyone who wants to join should send email to [e-mail]

How do we KNOW that you are a victim??? sounds really fishy to me. Get a life. Why would these people tell YOU what happened to them, you could be anybody. Sounds like a Carmine move to me.

People use WISDOM. Do not put your personal information out there for ANYONE. Seriously it is a door to be used and abused. If you are truly a victim do not send this person or anyone ON THE NET what happened.

Go to a family member, a good friend or just someone YOU TRUST AND KNOW that will listen. Then folks wanna know why they get all messed up

Oops, didn't realize this was one I'd already posted to. I got a new set of Google alert links today, but they all seem old.

As for the poster who asked how do you know I'm a victim? Some of the victims know me. For others, I'm pretty darned easy to Google.

How do you know there's really alcoholics at an AA meeting? Would that distrust stop you from talking to them if you needed AA?

I have found talking to family and friends somewhat less than satisfactory myself. It is too difficult to explain what NLP is or how what happened to me with Carmine occurred. I find it a lot easier to talk to people who've "been there" myself. Obviously, everyone's mileage may vary. That's kewl.

The group is for discussion online between peers, so the amount anyone can be screwed over by joining is pretty limited. We're talking about having access to a particular web site on Google. It'd be hard to be victimized by going there.

But if someone joins and doesn't like it, they can unsubscribe. No big deal.
